Obituary: Zachary Brock Kollar, 32, of Orlando, FL passed away unexpectedly on , 20th, 2015. He was born to Kenneth and Betty Jo Kollar on 26th, 1983 in Normal, IL. The family moved to Overland Park, KS when Zach was 18 months, and he spent his childhood in the Kansas City area. He graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High School in 2001, then earned an Associates Degree in Business from Miami Dade . From there, life afforded Zach the opportunity to live and work in Las Vegas, Miami, Kansas City and ultimately Orlando, where he had recently purchased a new home and opened his own business, the Gym Lab, with his soon to be fiancé, Ali Sheridan. Zach was a loving and charismatic man who was an instant friend to everyone he encountered. He was kind hearted, full of life, and above all else, loyal. The type of person who would do anything for anyone, Zachs heart was big and warm and open. His smile was contagious, and the twinkle of mischief in his eye irresistible. He loved to explore, with a curiosity for new people and new cultures. Zach traveled through Europe with friends on more than one occasion and was planning to return in of this year. He shared his stories and the cooking skills he picked up along the way with anyone lucky enough to spend some time with him. Zach considered himself a student of whatever life was willing to teach him and was passionate about learning anything and everything he could. Beginning with years of competitive hockey, Zach was a lifelong athlete and avid sports enthusiast. There wasn a board he couldn master, from skateboards to wakeboards to Indo boards, Zach was constantly on the go and inspiring others to do the same. As a personal trainer and ultimately owner of his own gym, Zach motivated his clients, his family, and his friends to better their lives and their bodies. He was a daily, living reminder that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible. Zach was beloved and will be greatly missed by his family and all those he treated like family, his friends. Zach is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Betty Jo Kollar, of Overland Park; his sister, Whitney Kollar and her fiancé, Justin Smith of San Francisco; his companion and soon to be bride, Ali Sheridan, their dog Bill, and their cat Lillig, of Orlando; his aunt, Mignon Wilson, of Maysville; his aunt and uncle, John Owens and Linda Kollar, and his uncle, Doug Kollar, of Kirksville; and numerous cousins, friends and clients. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Jim and Yvonne Brock and Mildred and Owens Kollar, his uncle, Kenneth Wilson, and his aunt, Jackie Kollar. A visitation will be held on , 27th, at McGilley State Line Chapel, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on , 28th at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection-Wesley Covenant Chapel, 13720 Roe, Leawood, KS 66224, followed by a private burial at Mt. Moriah . Family and friends are invited to gather and share fond memories of Zach shortly thereafter at the Kollar home. A trust is being established in Zachs honor to further the passions of underprivileged youth in the rollerblading and skateboarding community. Obituary: William Bill Kollar, 52, of Tallahassee and St. George Island, Florida passed away peacefully on morning, 28, 2014 in Tallahassee. Bill was born on 5, 1961 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He came to Tallahassee in 1982 and has split time between Tallahassee and the coast ever since. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Pace Kollar, two sons, Harrison and Hans, and Hans mother Loreen Yerger Kollar, his sisters Kathy Kollar and Mariella Meinhold, and two brothers Christopher and Steven Kollar. Bill leaves behind a very large extended family, his mother-in-law Shirley Pace, father-in-law and wife Jeff and Linda Pace, brothers-in-law Jake and Wray Pace, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss their Uncle B terribly. Bill was from up north, but as he always said, I got to the south as soon as I could. Bill attended Florida A&M University and graduated with a degree in Landscape Design. Over the course of 30+ years, he worked with many friends and clients \ if a client wasn already a friend, they quickly became one. Bills design work can be seen in many beautiful landscapes in Tallahassee, Apalachicola and St. George Island. He and Amanda created a business together, Gardens, Inc. in 2000. moved to St. George Island in 2005 and a few years later opened a retail store in Apalachicola called The Garden Shop. Bill brought to the business a keen eye for design and a vast knowledge of indigenous plants. He specialized in the use of native plants to enhance and preserve the landscape along the coast. Bills ability to combine his extensive knowledge with his storytellers heart is part of what makes him special to us all. Bill was proud to have received his charter boat captains license in 2013. To say that Bill was at home on the water would be an understatement, it was his sanctuary. His greatest joy, however, was participating in the lives of his two sons, Hans (20) and Harrison (3). Hans, his oldest son, is in his 3rd year at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Co. Bill was always an active and involved father and took an immense amount of pride in seeing the growth and the accomplishments of both of his boys. A memorial celebration of Bills life is planned for 11:00 on , 2nd at the Miccosukee Land Co-Op. Friends are invited to visit with the family, at their home, 3897 Long and Winding Road on , 1st from 4:00 to 8:00. |
