Obituary: Karen Dahlin, beloved wife and mother passed away at home early , 20, 2014. Born in Iowa in 1941, Karen and her family relocated to Sausalito when she was 11. In 1968 when Karen began her career, only men worked in the profession. Karen proved to be both a pioneer and a rebel as she combined grace, class, and a sense of humor to provide the best in marketing and service to her clients. She did no less at home where she and husband David, provided a home for their children and grandchildren. No matter what, Karen maintained a core set of values that made her loved by all. Integrity, honesty, strength, and a dedication to hard work were only part of what made her a top performer whether in her own brokerage or while affiliated with Coldwell Banker. During her 40+ year career, Karen not only marketed and sold real estate but taught over 120 real estate courses in 42 states, served as an arbitrator for the Marin Bar Association and acted as a mediator and arbitrator for the Marin Association of Realtors. As a diabetic and later transplant recipient, Karen understood that live was not always easy. Many times she could be found doing talks and consulting with others in similar situations to help. In addition, Karen enjoyed her family and friends as much as her profession and the two often intermixed with clients becoming friends and friends, clients. Generous with both her time and love, she was not only a mother to four daughters and grandmother to seven grandchildren but also a godmother to eight. When not working, Karen might be found decorating her own home, listening to music, reading, cooking, or shopping and wrapping that perfect gift for family and friends. Karen is survived by her beloved husband David, her daughters, Tammie, Violet, Jennifer, and Jill; her sister Ramona, seven grandchildren, and one niece. She is preceded in death by her parents and one nephew. |

Obituary: Dolores joined her husband Harold "Spud" Dahlin in heaven on 17, 2014. She was born to Alphonse and Mary Vassau on 12, 1930 in St. Paul, MN. Dolores worked as an executive secretary and an administrative assistant for over 50 years. Dolores is survived by her son, Michael J. Dahlin and his wife Lauri of Santa Barbara; her daughter, Cynthia K. Dahlin and her partner Michael Barro of Fresno; her granddaughters, Kristen M. James and her husband Steve of San Diego and Lindsey D. Dahlin of Santa Barbara; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair on , 23, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair on , 24, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be held at San Joaquin Valley National , Santa Nella.
