Obituary: Entered into life Irene Salcedo, widow of Camarena, daughter of Jesus Jose Salcedo and Carlota Garibay was born in San Bernardo, Durango, Mexico on 20, 1948. She was the youngest of 11 children: Ricardo, Luis, Francisco, Inocenia, Jesus Maria Chume, Pedro, Jose Abundio, Guadalupe, Jose and Martha. then moved to Ciudad Juarez Chih., Mexico when she was a few months old. At a young age, she had to stop going to school so she can help at home. She was cooking and cleaning for all of her older siblings, mother and father so they can continue to work and maintain the home. At the age of 16 she married and had her first child. Shortly after she came to the United States in 1969 to make a better life for her family. Mommy is survived by her sister, Chume; son, Danny; 6 daughters: Imelda, Isela, Maria, Norma, Ivon and Carla; 19 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was a hard-worker and provider. Her interest included gardening, novelas, sewing, reading, bingo, music, dancing, and especially her family, to mention a few. She devoted much of her time as a loving yet strong Mom and Abuelita. She always welcomed everyone that came to her home and treated them like family. Her family, book of prayers and salmos were mommys passion and delight. She loved to host her familys special events and gatherings at her home. Christmas and Thanksgiving was her favorite time and everyone always enjoyed being together. She fought the great fight of faith for her life and saw all her children lovingly by her side. She was devoted to her family and adored spending time with her loved ones, especially the grandchildren. She was a constant voice of wisdom, helping us to believe that we can achieve greatness and not be afraid to try. She touched our lives with her smile and generosity and will forever be cherished in our hearts, thoughts and in our walk of life. She remained faithful to her family and friends until her final breath. Mommys life seemed too short to many but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She gave us such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Memories from loved ones: Her sisters special memory while growing up in school would be her doing her hair in braids and dress her in beautiful dresses that had ruffles. By the time that she would get home from school her hair would be undone and her dresses would be ripped because she hated to dress up. Although she had many responsibilities, she was moved and touched by the love of God and she wanted to know more about him. She took it upon herself to go to religious classes to find out more of God. She always wanted everyone to be together, eat and enjoy the familia. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the sympathy, comforting words, prayers and all expressions of kindness and concern. May God continue to bless you. Obituary: Hector Manuel Camarena was a modest man, quiet and observant in his ways. He was trustworthy and traditional in his approach to his life and in his relationships. He was tough-minded with the kind of stick to it attitude that earned the respect of all who knew him. He was also a man who was meticulous, carefully disciplined, and orderly in virtually everything he undertook. Realistic about life, he was always at the ready, prepared to take on responsibility. Hector was born on 21, 1966 at Beverly Hospital in Montebello, California. His parents were Isaias and Venancia Camarena. Hector was raised in City of Rosemead and La Puente, California. He was brought up to be self-confident and dependable. These were traits that would serve him well throughout his life. Growing up in the Camarena household was a bit different than most homes. There were good times to be had, but just as often there was a fair share of challenges as well. However, Hector was able to work through the usual family problems when they appeared, and he was the one person in the family who seemed able to keep the stress at bay. Hector was raised with one sibling. He had one brother, Isaias M. Camarena, Jr. Hector was constantly involved in activities with his brother. Hector and his sibling may have had the typical rivalries while growing up but Hector was always consistently loyal to his family. As a young child, Hector was never someone who needed to be the center of attention. He wasn pushy and never forced his way into games or other activities. Hector developed a variety of interests, though, and the things he enjoyed doing he did well. He was always curious about the world around him and was often eager to explore it. In his spare time he liked comic books and build up rockets. However, what Hector enjoyed most was simply playing and spending time with his many friends. While his teachers and even his friends generally thought of Hector as being a serious person, he managed to have a pretty good time in high school as he made that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Bassett High School in 1984. He enjoyed some courses more than others, having favorite classes and teachers. The teacher he enjoyed learning from the most was Miss Robins. Hector was a very logical person who enjoyed learning about factual information. Using his exceptional memory, he was able to learn much through observation. Hector always seemed to have a command of the facts and was able to make it seem as though he could easily master any problem that might be presented to him. Always considered to be a solid friend, Hector was fortunate to have numerous acquaintances and several very close friends during his life. Since he disliked making generalizations about people and preferred to draw his own conclusions based on direct observation, Hector was able to see beneath the surface of relationships and became a true friend to those who knew him. He was committed to his friends and valued the trust he placed in them. It was not uncommon for Hector to go beyond the call of duty for others, and friends frequently sought him out for advice because he had a knack for coming up with practical solutions to any type of dilemma. While growing up, some of his best friends were Sal Orapeza and John Dover. Later in life, he became friends with Tony Vizcarra and Anel and Rosalba Liberto. On 14, 2006 Hector exchanged wedding vows with Sherri Leigh McNinch at the Santa Ana Court House of Santa Ana, California. Compassionate and devoted to Sherri, Hector held endearing, traditional values about marriage and family life. He took the responsibility of marriage to heart, giving it his total commitment. He was a source of strength to Sherri and using his gifts at nurturing one-on-one relationships, he worked hard to make his new family happy. Hector did not have any children, but Hectors joy in life were his 2 godsons, Lance and Ian Garcia and his nephew Benjamin Ortega. Hector greatly enjoyed what he did for a living. He was a hard worker who expected the same in return from his co-workers. He was skilled at working effectively in small groups and in one-on-one situations as well as handling solo assignments efficiently. Hector enjoyed dealing with concrete ideas and could penetrate any amount of fuzzy information to reach the essential facts. Always able to attend to the task at hand, Hector was excellent at meeting deadlines. He was an efficient worker, one who paid careful attention to detail, allowing sufficient time to complete one task before moving on to the next. His primary occupation was general warehouse manager. He was employed for 11 years by Lap Co. Hector worked hard to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done. Hector liked to experience things first-hand as well as learn about them. This trait carried over into his hobbies, where he was very methodical in how he organized his activities and categorized things. Since he enjoyed his private time, Hector always tried to allocate a specific time for working on his hobbies. His favorite pursuits were rocket building, music and Disneyland. Hector was content to enjoy his hobbies alone but was also willing to share his interests with others. As a man who always showed great commitment to the things he believed in, its little wonder that Hector was so active in his community. Being practical and mentally disciplined, Hector preferred to base his decisions on first-hand experiences. Hector was never afraid to roll up his sleeves and dig right in. Obituary: Brent Michael Camarena Our Beautiful Son and Loving Brother 29,1984 - 25, 2010 Children are the most precious beautiful loving gift our great God Jehovah gives us. As we all know, as parents we love, protect, nurture and teach our children. Mike and I had a beautiful son on 29, 1984, my first and only son, naturally i was overjoyed. Brent Michael was a very loving, happy baby and child and gave me and his father much happiness and joy. He loved his sisters deeply, Karrah, Jessica and Michelle, his niece Taylor, and his cousins deeply, including all his extended family, as well as friends he made along the way. Brent loved adventure and many times as a child he would dress up in "Indiana Jones" type attire to have fun. As he grew he captured our hearts by his sense of humor and fun personality. As a child he was raised as one of Jehovahs Witnesses. He always attended Kingdom Hall meetings, gave student talks, went out in field service and enjoyed conventions and assemblies. He believes in the bible promises of living forever on a paradise earth. (Psalms 37:11, 29 "The righteous themselves will posses the EARTH, and they will RESIDE FOREVER UPON IT") I had many conversations with Brent that showed me that he had faith in God whose name is Jehovah and deep down inside he wanted to serve our Great God. In the paradise when he is resurrected, (john 5:25, 28, 29 "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which ALL THOSE IN THE MEMORIAL TOMBS WILL HEAR HIS VOICE AND COME OUT....")... he will have the opportunity to learn about Jehovah and how he removed wickedness, (Psalms 37:9, 10 "For EVILDOERS themselves will be CUT OFF. But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.") and how he accomplish his original purpose of making the earth a paradise. Until then part of my heart is missing but i know that Brenty is safe in Jehovahs memory, and at that time i will run to him with tears of joy in my eyes and arms outstretched to welcome home my beautiful son BRENT who i love with all my heart.
