Obituary: Luis Eduardo Camargo (affectionately referred to as Eddie or Grandpa) was born to Carmen Munoz and Jose ine Camargo on 01, 1932 in Bogota, Colombia, South America. He had four brothers Manuel, Guillermo, Simon and Jose; six sisters Diocelina, Isabel, Sofia, Blanca, Rosa, and Edelmira. As a child, Eddie resided in Bogota, Colombia. He began working at the age of 12 to help provide for his siblings. He was well known and loved within his community. On 22, 1956, he married Ligia Inez Vaca. were blessed with five children, Omar, Adrianna, Renso, David, and Andrew Camargo. In 1964 Eddie left Colombia to build a better life for his family, in America. During this time he began to establish himself within his new community. He quickly formed a lifetime friendship with the Bernal family, with whom he later raised his children alongside. In 1964 Ligia and Eddie suffered the loss of their son Renso. Following this loss Eddie swiftly brought his wife and children to America. began building their future in Los Angeles, California. Unfortunately, in 1966 Eddie and Ligia suffered the loss of their son David. Over the years Eddie worked in various laborious positions to provide for his growing family. Thereafter, establishing his career as a Commercial Electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was very proud to have contributed to the construction of most of the sky rises that now make up the Los Angeles skyline. His love for and interest in the electrical field was passed on to his younger generations. Eddies proudest accomplishments were providing for his growing family and achieving American citizenship. In 1971 his family moved to Whittier, California. It is here that he spent the majority of his life in America. In 1975 he was blessed with the birth of his youngest son, Andrew. During the proceeding thirty years he was overjoyed by the marriages and accomplishments of his children and the births of his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. To his excitement he retired after 30 plus years as an electrician. Following his retirement he was able to pursue his joy of traveling. Alongside his wife he traveled throughout Europe, Canada, Colombia, and the United States. In 2005 his lifelong dream of owning a newly built home came to fruition. It was then that he moved to Eastvale, California. The rest of his family soon followed. It is in Eastvale that he lived out the remainder of his years alongside his continually growing family. He was blessed with 60 wonderful years of marriage to his beautiful wife Ligia. Eddie was a kind and gentle man who never so much as raised a hand to any of his children or grandchildren. He never had a temper, and if he did get upset over anything, he was always able to let it go. He was always happy, always making jokes, and could make friends anywhere he went. He loved sports, especially Futbol and Baseball. He was a devoted Angels fan. His love for the Angels was never swayed by the teasing he got from the rest of his family, who are all Dodger fans. He loved his family and friends. He loved living life and sharing it with his loved ones. He was preceded in death by: Parents Carmen Munoz and Jose ine Camargo; brothers Manuel, Guillermo Simon and Jose; sister Rosa; children Renso Camargo and David Camargo; grandchildren Michelle Camargo He is survived by: his wife Ligia Camargo; son and daughter-in-law Omar and Maryann Camargo; his daughter Adrianna Camargo; his son Andrew Camargo; grandchildren Daniel Camargo (Monica Camargo), Melissa Lopez (Carlos Lopez), Adrian Camargo Rubly (Andrew Rubly), Andre Fernandez, Alexandria Fernandez; great grandchildren Sheryl Allstun, Marisa Guerrero, Chloe Camargo, Alexa Guerrero, Ava Farias, Mariela Leynes, Riley Camargo and Giselle Lopez; sisters Diocelina, Isabel, Sofia, Blanca, and Edelmira Rather than mourn the passing of Eddie, he wanted his family and friends to celebrate his life. |
