Obituary: William John Troyanos, 81 of Beverly Hills, Florida, died , 20, 2016. Bill was born 12, 1934 to Steven and Mary Troyanos, in New York City. Bill and his wife of 60 years, Dorothy, moved to Florida in 1991 from Sandwich, Massachusetts. Bill spent his early life in the Spanish Harlem section of New York City. He began his family when he married Dorothy in 1955, eventually moving to Boston in the early 1960s where he worked in construction and at Sammy Whites Brighton Bowling Lanes. In 1967, the family moved to Sandwich, Massachusetts where Bill managed Dot and Bills Village . Locals got to know him and his cooking, including his signature Pregnant Omelets. He also worked as a bartender and manager of restaurants and hotels including the Danl Webster Inn in Sandwich, Barnacle Bills, Berts Landing, the Governor Carver in Plymouth, MA, as well as the Holly Ridge Golf Course in Sandwich. He was beloved by many in his professional and personal life, and counted many people and acquaintances as close friends. Bill was also active in many clubs and organizations, and freely volunteered his time. He was a lifetime member of the Masons and also participated in the local neighborhood watch, and the Fishing Club. He was a volunteer fireman and played Santa Claus numerous times for police, fire and other events. For the past 20 years, Bill was a Citrus Memorial Hospital volunteer, comforting the patients. A US Navy Veteran, Bill served during the Korean War on the USS New Jersey as a signalman. He enjoyed bowling in several amateur leagues. He also loved golf, poker, cribbage and trips to Biloxi. Bill loved watching sports, especially his beloved New York Yankees. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, his brother Jerry Troyanos of Scottsdale AZ and sister, Theodora Thomas, of Texas He is also survived by 3 sons: Christopher Troyanos and wife Joni of Norfolk, Massachusetts; William Troyanos Jr. of Denver, Colorado; and Andrew Troyanos and wife Debra from Forestdale, Massachusetts. Bill leaves behind 5 grandsons: Jason and Nick of Norfolk, Massachusetts, Stephen of Denver, Colorado and Wayne and Zack MacDonald of Sandwich, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind 1 granddaughter Anastasia and 2 great granddaughters Kimberly and Josie of Barnstable, Massachusetts. Services will be held at the Beverly Hills Community Church , 4, 2016 at 10 AM. A reception will follow at the VFW Post 10087 Hall in Beverly Hills, Florida. Internment will take place , 5th at Florida National , Bushnell, Florida at 11 AM. Obituary: Sarah Troy (Huerkamp), 58 , a longtime resident of the Tampa Bay Area, passed away May 10th, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Sarah was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on New Year’s Day 1957. She was predeceased by her mother Katie Huerkamp, her father Leo Huerkamp, her sister Ellen Norden, and brother-in-law, Doug Pirc. Sarah is survived by her loving husband Brian (32 years), her son Brian (Sofia), her daughter Jennifer, sister Susan Hepfinger (John), brother Daniel Huerkamp (Sue), brothers-in-law Patrick Troy and Jon Norden, sisters-in-law Mary Ellen Troy, Loretta Pirc, and Virginia Troy, mother-in-law Marion Troy, in-laws Bernardo, Monica, and Luis Perez de Lara, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Sarah and her family moved from Chicago to settle for 28 years in Brandon, Florida in 1987. Her family was her life, and for almost 20 years she was a stay-at- home mother dedicated to raising her children. She was the ultimate team mom for countless soccer teams, and favorite room mother to many classrooms. a few brief years as a substitute teacher, Sarah joined the faculty at Bing Elementary School in Tampa as a full time teacher to many young children in the first and second grades. Over the past 8 years, she served as a role model and positively impacted the lives of many of these young children. She dedicated countless hours to planning and delivering the finest education to all of her students in these critical formative years of their educational and personal development. As she always led by example, Mrs. Troy was the ultimate mom and consummate school teacher to everyone that knew her. Visitation will be held on May 16th, from2:00-4:00pm at the Blount & Curry , 605 S. MacDill Ave., Tampa, FL 33609. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 4:00pm immediately following visitation.
