Obituary: Gladys L. Ayers - Obituary Our Granny, Gladys Ayers (Mrs. Bennie Ayers) went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family, , 4th. She is predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Bennie Ayers; son - Johnny Ayers and grandson - Benjamin Ayers. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Maxwell and her husband David Maxwell; daughter-in-law Gladys M. Ayers and son - Frank Ayers and his wife Doris Ayers; grandchildren - David (Christy); Jennifer; Natalie; Johnathan; Kathy; Ander; Stephanie and Miles; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Gladys is also survived by her sister Elaine Sullivan and special daughter and caregiver; Sarah Tomlinson. Gladys was a high energy person who loved being around people. She was always active in her church, teaching School to helping with the Senior Group. retiring from Pantry Pride, she retired a second time as owner and operator of Ayers Express for 22 years. Dr. Gerald Fielder of Westside Baptist Church of Gadsden, Alabama will officiate.
