Obituary: Longtime Ventura resident, Lola G. Dysert, 92, died , Nov. 2, 2009, in Ventura following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Dysert was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Oak Shade, Ohio, to Frank and Dessie Borton Brown. Mrs. Dysert was the assistant manager at Donnas Laundromat in Ventura for many years, retiring in 2002. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Isabel and Herb Bedolfe of Ventura; son-in-law, Emory Carney of Camarillo; sister-in-law, Betty Brown of Dearborn, Mich.; niece, Janis Cash Costello of Ojai; grandchildren and their spouses, Starla and Gene Brown of Gilbert, Ariz., Kathy and Jay Carney of Camarillo; Joanne and Vic Lopez of Virginia Beach, Va., Diane and Jim Fender of Mesa, Ariz., Kari and Adrian Ramon of Buena Park, Megan and Tom Voshell of Oxnard, Cindy Airey of Laguna Beach and Michael Airey of Missouri; 21 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Dysert; daughters, Donna Carney and Lois Airey; grandson, Jeffrey Airey; brothers, Harold, Raymond, Don and Rex Brown. services will be held at 9 a.m. on , Nov. 7, at the Ted Mayr , 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, with Pastor Dan Hull officiating. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1510 San Andres St., Santa Barbara, Calif. 93101. are under the direction of the Ted Mayr , Ventura. |

Obituary: Betty Jean Dyser passed away 6, 2017 after suffering many years from Alzheimers disease. She was born 24, 1924 in Hamburg, IA. She eventually ended up in Omaha, NE where she spent many years working as an executive secretary. She finished her career as secretary to the Judge Advocate General of the Army in Washington, D.C. She was predeceased by her loving husband of over 30 years, Col. Francis Ed Dyser. Betty was a loving mother to Judy Dowd Scelsa (Nick), Gary Birch (Loni) and step-daughter, Judith Franklin. She was a devoted grandmother to Mike Dowd, Jennifer Edwards, Matt Dowd, Robby Dowd, Stephanie Medel, Danielle Maezaki, Wesley Birch and Wendy, Karen and Sharon Wagner, and great grandmother to Kaitlyn, Ben, Sophia, Makenna, Isabella and Nicoletta, Raven, Taiga, Luna Jane, Andrew, Alex and Hanna. She also leaves her devoted sister, Sue Korp, nephew, Scott Korp, niece, Linda Brown and many friends that she counted as family. Betty spent many years of devoted service to others, including her churches. She belonged to St. Peter and Paul in Rocklin, and Holy Trinity in El Dorado Hills. She volunteered for many years at Snowline Hospice Thrift Store. More than anything, she will be remembered for her sweet disposition and kindness to all who were lucky enough to know her. We know that through her love of the Lord she is sharing his abundant love. A memorial mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church at 307 Montrose Drive, Folsom, CA on , 7th at 11 a.m. It will be followed by a reception at the church and interment at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park at 3 p.m. Remembrances can be made to support the Alzheimers Association http://www.alz.org/ |
