Obituary: LeNora was born to John and Edna Sutton on a cattle and row crop ranch outside Guymon, Oklahoma on 6, 1923 and departed this earthly life on , 9, 2010. A loving wife, mother and talented artists soul has gone home to be with the God she loved and served. LeNora moved from the ranch to Guymon, graduating from Guymon High School in 1941 and from Business in 1974. Subsequently she moved to Anaheim and then to Fresno, marrying Douglas there on 1, 1976. She was a retired secretary, bookkeeper and professional artist. LeNora was a very active 68 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star serving four terms as Worthy Matron, in 1994 she and Douglas served as Cochairman of the Necrology and Divine Services Committee of the Grand Chapter of California, and in 2001 thru 2003 she served as the Grand Representative of New Hampshire in California. She also was a talented professional artist working primarily with oils on canvas. She had several one woman juried art showings of her works which are now on display from the New England states through Southern California. Her works brought a high price whenever they were sold. The spirit of our beloved wife, mother and sister has taken flight from this vale of tears and has winged its way to that unseen home above to be with her loving God and Savior forever. She is sorely missed by all of her family and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Mason; her former husband, James Mason; her parents; her brother, Jack Sutton; her in-laws, John and Margaret Cairns and Scott Cairns. She is survived by her husband Douglas Cairns, of 34 years; her son, James "Mike" Mason; 14 grand children, eight great grandchildren; and her sister, Ruth Sutton of Escondido. Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel, on 14, 2010, from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. Services will be at Stephens and Bean Chapel, on , 15, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens, 175 S Cornelia Ave. under the direction of Stephens & Bean Chapel, Fresno, CA. |

Obituary: Kirby Edward Carins passed away morning, 28, at the age of 56, after his courageous 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Kirby was born in San Francisco, CA on May 18, 1959, the second of three children to Ed and Pat Cairns. He grew up in Yankton, SD, and Denver, CO although he spent most of his childhood in San Luis Obispo, CA. Kirby married his wife Becky on 2, 1985. Served together through YWAM in the Philippines and Hong Kong before returning to California. God blessed them with three children, Lucas, Andrew and Breanna. Kirby worked as a truck driver and delivery man for 10 years before following Christ's cal to move to the Central Valley of California in 1992 to work with at-risk teens at Valley Teen Ranch. The Cairns family moved to North Fork in 1996. In 2000, Kirby and Becky started and owned Pak and Page business in Oakhurst until 2005. Kirby returned to his devoted work at Valley Teen Ranch until his battle with cancer necessitated his retirement. Kirby was a deeply devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He loved the outdoors and took every chance to appreciate God's creation. He also enjoyed fishing, hiking and camping with his children, as well as playing the acoustic guitar. He was an avid reader of the Bible, history and theology books. He sought out every opportunity to share the love of Jesus Christ with anyone he met. Kirby was a loving devoted husband to Becky Cairns, his wife of 30 years; a loving father to his three children, Lucas (wife, Kelly and grandchild to be born in 2016) from Milford, OH, Andrew from North Fork, CA and Breanna from North Fork CA. He is also survived by his mother Patricia Cairns-Carlisle (husband, Jim), his brother Peter (wife, Kim) and sister Robin (husband, Wayne). A memorial service will be held at Sierra Pines Church on , 1 at 3:00 P.M. Memorial gifts can be sent to: Sierra Pines Church, 40855 Covey Ct., Oakhurst, CA 93644 to honor his heart for supporting local youth to participate in Youth With A Mission outreach. |
