Obituary: Cagle, Ben J 1921 - 2017. 95 years old at time of passing. Married to Emma Marie Bradley 1949 until her passing in 2003. Two children: Stephen A. Cagle & Linda D (Cagle) Lincoln Ben Cagle was born in Ringling, Oklahoma to Charles and Dora Cagle. He graduated from Ringling High School and attended Oklahoma University (OU), from which he received his Bachelor's degree in Englneering; leaving school before the term was over to report to the Army and serve his country in WWII. Utilizing the GI bill, Ben attended CalTech in Pasadena, California, obtaining a Master's in Aerospace Engineering. He married his sweetheart Emma Marie Bradley, and worked at the Windtunnel and ONR in Pasadena. Together they raised two children and were active at the First Baptist Church of Pasadena until he was transferred to the ONR office at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography in La Jolla. Since moving to San Diego in 1983, he has been involved with the Alzheimer's Research at UCSD in the hope of finding a cure of the disease which claimed his beloved wife at age 82. The family appreciates all of the friends from the First Baptist Church of San Diego, The Alzheimer's Research , and the Pacificaires chorus for the rich blessing they were in the life of Ben. We invite Ben's friends to join the family at the El Camino grave site at 12:30PM this , 29, for a brief service, and later at 2:00PM at the First Baptist Church of San Diego, 5055 Governor Drive, San Diego, for a memorial service. Obituary: Josephine, the matriarch of the family passed away peacefully at the age of 98 with her family by her side. Josephine was an avid 49er and Giants fan, she loved cooking for her family. She is survived by her 3 children; Richard (Dianne), Lucille (Jerry) and Butch (Kathy) and her sister Florence Scarpace, 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Sam, her sister Lucy, sister Marie Rizzo and her grandson Jason Grogan.
