Obituary: Carmen was a beautiful, kind and loving woman, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed the last years of her life at Magnolia Manor, where she loved and was loved by the staff, aides and residents. She will be missed by all, especially by her daughters Linda and Sonia. As a young woman, Carmen received Christ as her Savior. She knew she was a sinner and that she would never be able to earn her way to heaven by her good deeds. Instead, she put her faith in Jesus Christ, who is God in the flesh. She knew that Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross and rose again to pay the penalty for our sin. Carmen did not fear death. Her faith in Christ gave her perfect assurance that she would spend eternity in heaven. Carmens desire is for you to also trust in Jesus and one day join her in heaven. Obituary: On , 5th, Myrna Clanton Munhollon, born 4th, 1918, peacefully slipped the bonds of Earth at age 94 in Melbourne, Florida. Myrna was the beloved wife of Clifford w. Munhollon (dec.), to whom she was married for over 55 years. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Myrna was the consummate Genealogist and Historian. Upon her retirement from Sears-Roebuck in Ohio, she remained very active with her family, her church, and her community. When health concerns of her husband required a move to warmer climate, Myrna and Cliff relocated from Painesville, Ohio to Punta Gorda, Florida in 1981. In Punta Gorda, Myrna was an avid volunteer and promoter of the Museum of Charlotte , and the Charlotte Genealogical Society. As a member of the Genealogical Societys Committee, Myrna aided in months of exhaustive research on the Indian Springs in Charlotte , and even wrote the forward to a fascinating book on the cemeterys history, which was later published. In 1992, Myrna and Cliff moved to Melbourne, Florida to be close to their daughter, Ruth, and her children, and bought a home in Lamplighter Village. When her husband, Cliff, passed away in 1996, Myrna moved to Trinity Towers, and eventually went to live in the Brookshire Assisted Living Facility. She was the sister of Lois Wilson (dec.), Roy Clanton (dec.), Caroline Audrey Kaye (dec.) and Marshall Clanton (dec.). Myrna is survived by her children, Clifford Munhollon, Ruth Ann Agard, and Jeanette Lee Portman. She was the very proud grandmother of Jon, Jim, Cliff, Chris and Phillip Agard, Dawn Whitaker and Kim Portman. Myrna also leaves behind Kyle and Ron Kaye of Pensacola, Florida, Robert Clanton of Texas and their families. She was the proud great-grandma to her beloved great-grandchildren Destiny, Tia, Michael, Skyler, Kailey, and Alexis. Many thanks go out to the wonderful, caring staff and Brookshire Assisted Living, and the amazing team at Weusthoff Hospice for their kind compassion and dedication. We all love you and miss you Grandma!! Graveside services will be at Fountainhead Memorial Park, 14, 2011 at 2:00pm. |
