Obituary: Marie Morse, 80, of Pine Ridge in Beverly Hills, Florida, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on , 3, 2012 in the loving care of her family and the staff of Citrus and Rehabilitation in Inverness, Florida. She was born in Manhattan, New York, on , 18, 1931, to Thomas and Margaret (Riley) Moore. Marie was a retired dental assistant and moved to this area in 1986 from Plainview, Long Island, New York. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, the Polish American Club, the New Jersey and Friends Club and the West Citrus Ladies of the Elks Lodge 2693. Marie enjoyed traveling, cruising, loved to shop and loved her family and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret G. Moore. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Joseph Morse of Pine Ridge in Beverly Hills, Florida; daughters, Regina Morse of Crystal River, Florida, and Gerry Romano and husband, Anthony, of Atlantic Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Justine Adams and husband, Noah, Laura Romano and Anthony Romano Jr. and wife, Tara, all of Atlantic Beach, Florida; great-granddaughter, Harper Marie Romano of Atlantic Beach, Florida and nephew, Robert A. Morse of Rochelle Park, New Jersey. Obituary: Lynn Johnson Morse passed away at age 88 on May 8, 2017 in Flagler Hospital St ine, Florida. Lynn was born in Boydton, Virginia on 27, 2017 and after serving time in the Army was introduced to Florence Webster by mutual friends. He and Florence were married and moved to Newark, New Jersey to begin their life and family. Lynn not only served as an Army Veteran. Lynn retired from the US Postal Service where he served as a Postal Police Officer and also retired from the Newark School Board of Education where he worked with special needs children. The children who Lenny worked with had a special place for him in their hearts and so did all of the neighborhood children. Lynn had an extremely generous spirit and the neighborhood children knew that they would never be hungry as long as they had contact with Mr. Morse. Lynn will be best remembered for making so many people laugh. No matter who he met or where he went, he somehow managed to put a smile on someones face. He has blessed his family and friends with so many memorys it is unbelievable. When those around him least expected it, there came a joke. Seldom planned, mostly spontaneous, but always funny. His lively and energetic personality, as well as his super silly jokes will be missed by all. Lynn is survived by his three children, Cheryl Morse, Darin Morse, and Janice Williams; two grandchildren, Winston Jackson II and Travis Jackson; one great -grandchild, Winston Jackson III; son-in-law, Roosevelt Williams; sister, Alice Burwell and was predeceased by his loving wife, Florence Morse; and sister, Ida Burwell. Memorial and services will be performed at Oaklawn Chapel and 4801 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32207 on , May 13, 2017 at 10 am. |
