Obituary: Forrest Michael Woody Montgomery passed away , 29, 2014 in Ft Pierce, Florida at the age of 65. He was born on 2, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, to Bun and Ora Montgomery, of Ada. He was the grandson of Daniel and Gracie Thacker of Lima. He was a 1966 graduate of Ada High School. He also attended Ohio State University and Morehead State University. He dedicated over 25 years of his life to the U.S. Air Force and was a retired Chief Master Sgt. He enjoyed listening to music (especially the Rolling Stones), exercising, gardening, renovating homes, and was an avid fan of the Florida Gators where all his children attended college. Forrest loved to travel around the world and spent time living in the Philippines and Norway with his family. Forrest was a Baptist by faith. Forrest was a practical, determined, fair, and loving husband, father, son, and brother who always loved to laugh and joke with everyone he met. He was a friendly, curious person and enjoyed meeting new people. He always had a way of getting everyone to laugh and smile and was always a kid at heart. He is survived by his wife, Faye; son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Kris Montgomery, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Paul of Washington, DC; and daughter, Melissa of Denver, Colorado. Brothers Bun Montgomery of Anamosa, Iowa, and Jeff Montgomery of Ada, Ohio. Sisters Barbara Earl of Nokomis, Florida, and Jackie Trautwein of Louisville, Kentucky. Three grandchildren Josh, Sam, and Faye. His aunt Thelma Pruitt of Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He also had a cat named Pogee. A memorial service with full military honors will begin at 1:00 PM on , 25, 2014 at Hanson-Neely , Ada with Pastor Jack Duffy officiating. Inurnment will be in Preston , Alger. The family would rather not receive flowers for the service. Obituary: Dorothy Montgomery 1931-2016 Dorothy Montgomery, 85, of Molino, Florida, joined the love of her life in Heaven , 18, 2016. She was born 30, 1931 and was a life-long resident of Pensacola, Florida. Dorothy was a very devoted wife and mother and was known to everyone as Mammaw. She was also a member of American Legion Post 340. Mrs. Montgomery is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Montgomery and daughter Nancy Ard. She is survived by daughter Cynthia (John) Cole, sons Jerry (Brenda) Sorrells, John Red (Donna) Sorrells, Frankie (Donna) Sorrells, step-son Frank Montgomery, and foster son Joey Marinin, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.
