Obituary: McGURN, MARGARET age 97 of Coral Springs, Florida died on , 25, 2015. Margaret was born in the town of Floyd, New York, one of 12 siblings. She was the daughter of Frank and Anna (Giafalone) Coniglio. For 25 years, Margaret worked at the Rome State School, providing care for the mentally challenged. Upon her retirement in 1972, she along with her husband Ronald (Mac) relocated to South Florida. She is survived by her loving children Bryan T. (Roberta) McGurn, Edward F. (Julie) McGurn, Ronald B. (Janet) McGurn and Palma (Richard) Costello; Grandchildren Jessica, Justin, Keith, Kristi, Christopher, Craig, Eric and Sharissa; 5 Great Grandchildren; Brother Carl Coniglio; Sisters Nicoletta Versace, Kathryn Krupiarz and Francis Biazzo along with several loving nieces and nephews. Obituary: Rosemary McGuirk passed away on 13, 2014 after a long illness, surrounded by her husband and children. She was born to Margaret and Daniel Milner on May 28, 1929 in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. She had great memories as a child hanging out with her friends, going to Coney Island and was a big Brooklyn Dodger Fan. She met her husband, Joseph McGuirk at Andy's Diner in Wappingers Falls and got married on May 26, 1951. would eventually move to Dutchess to raise their family in a devoted Catholic home. Her 5 children went to St. Mary's in Wappingers and Our Lady of Lourdes High School. Rosemary’s greatest joy in life was her family. She raised her children in a loving home full of laughter. Mom was a smart woman and had many jobs in her life. Her favorite job, after that of wife and mother, was as a nurse’s aide at St. Mary's, where she was able to express her love of children and her need to help others. She was a wonderful loving friend with a great sense of humor. She is survived by her husband Joseph, her sister Margaret Moro, her children Patricia Orr (Michael), James (Beth), Teresa (Dana Kilgore), Kevin (Janet), and Mary Beth Baker (Paul). She is also watching over her grandchildren who she loved deeper than the ocean and higher than the sky, Christina Ferell (Justin), Daniel Orr (Kela DeMauro), Caitlin Baier (Jason), Kevin Buso, Sean McGuirk, Shannon McGuirk, Margaret McGuirk, Kailey Baker, Colin Baker, and the newest generation, Lyric Oshyn Ferell. Rosemary will be put to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation in her name to Astor Foundation for Children 6339 Mill St. PO Box 5005 Rhinebeck NY 12572, www.Astorservices.org and that you call your family and tell them that you love them. |
