Obituary: Louise E. Trower Carlucci McCreight, 88, born 5th, 1928 and slipped into the arms of Jesus on 10th, 2017. She was a native of Jacksonville and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. She worked at the Florida National Bank, American Bank, Graybar Electric, and then upon marriage to Joe Carlucci, worked with him as they built their State Farm Agency. Years later in 1986 she was appointed as the State wide chairperson of fund raising for the restoration of the Statue of Liberty and raised over 100,000.00 dollars towards this historic mission. Most importantly she was involved in the work of her Lord, position and official recognition was never important to her. Truly, winning souls to Christ was really her passion and what was the joy of her life. Her greatest legacy is leading her entire family to a personal relationship with Christ from her husbands right down to her great grandchildren. In addition, she unselfishly lead literally hundreds of people to Christ, many of whom were young mixed up teenagers back in the 70s at the first Christian coffee house known as The House of Maranatha. In addition, she led efforts for the first march for Jesus in Jacksonville that attracted well over 1000 participants. She also was awarded the Presbyterian Women Honorary Achievement award with South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church. To our entire family and extended family, she was a warm, devoted, wise and unconditional loving mother. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Ira and Lottie Moore; brothers, Francis Moore and Ira Moore. She is also pre-deceased by her first husband, Milton Trower, who gave his life in the line of duty for our country in 1947 while serving in the Navy. She then married Joe Carlucci, who went on to establish a successful State Farm Agency, became elected to the first consolidated Jacksonville City Council and subsequently 11 years later, elected to the Florida Senate. He then died of a massive heart attack on Feb 1st, 1986. Several years later she married the distinguished Captain Major Israel McCreight, III USN (Retired) who sailed around the world defending our great country who passed in 1999. She is survived by her sons, Matthew Carlucci Sr. (Karen), Michael; grandsons, Matthew Carlucci Jr. (Lauren), Joe Carlucci II (Victoria); grandchildren, Matthew Carlucci III, and Lillyana Kate Carlucci. She is also survived by her sister, Clarice ine; Aunt Loyce Doering; and niece and nephew, Sandra and Tommy Chappell; nephew, Robin Doering (Nancy); niece, Betty Wheeler, as well as step-children, Ellen McCreight Grant (David), Duncan McCreight, Brian McCreight , Andrew McCreight (Brenda); and 5 loving step-grandchildren. Our Family wishes to thank our Mothers loving caregivers, Beverly Fields, Mellownease Edwards, Ellen Nickelson, Cykeria Sha Sha Miller, and Patricia Jones. We will never forget your unselfish dedication, compassion and love to our mother. In addition, the loving professionals of hospice and last but not least South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church which was a beautiful sanctuary of peace and inspiration to our mom. Visitation will be at the Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville on , 12, 2017 from 5-7pm. service on , 13, 2017 at 10am at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church, 2137 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, Florida.
