Obituary: Henry van Dyk, age 79, of Simi Valley, California, passed away early morning, 2, 2015. Henry was a beloved husband, father and brother who was very much appreciated and admired by his family, friends, children and grandchildren. Henry will be remembered as a kind and generous man who always put his family first. Henry was born in Indonesia in 1935, and was orphaned at an early age. He grew up both in Indonesia and Holland; and in Holland he met his wife of over 40 years, Lily. Together they immigrated to the United States and raised six children: Nancy, Rene, Yvonne, Anthony, Frank and Janet. Henry worked as a welder and machinist throughout his professional career; but would joke that his favorite job was eing retired. He appreciated his retirement and all that he did during these cherished years. He enjoyed spending time with his many grandchildren: Craig, Addison, Katherine, Frank, Thomas, Ashley, Sierra, Hunter, Jacob, Madison and Vincent. He traveled to Hawaii, Las Vegas and Holland. And just this past year, his life was filled with many highlights including his sisters visit from Holland and a recent fishing trip where he caught a 100 pound blue fin tuna. He loved playing cards, music, darts, eating Indonesian food and fixing up his beautiful Simi Valley home. Join Henrys family in celebrating Opas amazing life at 2:00 pm, , 4, 2015. Obituary: Bert Van Dyk, 86, of Visalia, CA went to be with his Lord on 3, 2017. Bert was born on 28, 1930 to John William and Nellie Van Dyk in Hull, Iowa. At the age of eight Bert's family moved to Paramount, CA where he attended school and later worked in the dairy industry. In 1946 he met the love of his life Eva Plantage. married on Sept 14, 1949. In 1957 they moved to Chino where he continued to work in the dairy industry. He became a member of Chino Valley Reformed Church and served many terms as a deacon or elder. Bert loved to attend his grandchildren's sports games and other activities. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, gardening, and smoking his pipe. A highlight of Bert and Eva's life was the Alaskan Cruise they took with their children in 2005. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Bert is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Eva, their son-in-law Jim Idsinga of Portales, NM, a son John (Betty) Van Dyk of , CA, two daughters Bernell (Joe) Buckley of Springfield, MO and Carolyn (Marty) De Jager of Merced, CA, eleven grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Joann Idsinga of Portales, NM and his sister Margaret. A private burial will be followed by a memorial service at Visalia Christian Reformed Church 1030 S. Obituary: Bert D. Van Dyk, of Tulare , California, was called home to be with our Lord on 21, 2015. He was 84 years of age. Bert was cared for in his home and surrounded by family when he succumbed to his struggle with kidney failure.Bert was born to Dries and Anna Van Dyk on 24, 1931, in Artesia, California. He attended Cerritos High School through the 10th grade, then began working for his father, driving truck, to help support the family. Thus he began his career, which also became his life's passion. On 18, 1951, he wed Cynthia Harmsen and from then on he would always be her "Bartie". were happily married for 56 blessed years. Together they started Van Dyk Trucking which grew from hauling cattle in the Chino Valley area, to hauling cattle throughout the state. His sense of humor and silly jokes (Cliff) will always be remembered. Bert and Cynthia were blessed with their four lovely daughters, Charlene, Linda, Judy, and Karen.Bert's wife Cynthia went to be with our Lord on 4, 2007. On 15, 2011, Bert married Anne Siegersma and spent the remaining of his life enjoying time and travel with her.Bert was a member of Trinity United Reformed Church in Visalia, California. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia, and his brother Henry Van Dyk. He is survived by his wife Anne Siegersma; his daughters: Charlene and Ralph Skelton, Linda and Joseph Lincoln, Judy Hegrenes, and Karen and Tim Garrett. Bert was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He will be missed by his surviving family members, sister Gertie Cnossen, brothers Richard (Diane) Van Dyk, Andrew (JoAnn) Van Dyk, Frederick (Kathleen) Van Dyk, and John (Denise) Van Dyk.Viewing will be at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Obituary: Wilson Earl Dyer III (Bill) passed from our world on 5, 2015. He is a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the Army 1st Cavalry, Airmobile 1st of the 7th, Delta , 1968 to 1970, remaining available for service until 1974, and receiving an honorable discharge. Wilson was born in Springfield, Missouri 21, 1947. He came to Pomona, California with his mother, a widow, when he was 8 years old. During his young life, he returned alone to Missouri every summer to spend time with his family. His earliest jobs in So.Calif. included welding for Kaiser Steel, and Lockeed Martin. Other occupations in So Cal included telephone installion, phone repair, and pay phone removal. He installed pay phones for the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 1984. He also worked as a carpenter remodeling crafstman style homes, particularly in the Claremont Village area. Wilson moved to Fresno, CA in 1989, becoming a truck driver for Allen A. Adams Trucking. He worked for this company for 21 years. The first ten years as a long haul driver and the remaining years in the office as dispatcher. His favorite days were spent with his friends at the veterans association. But, his happiest moments were with his family: Barbara, his wife of nearly 30 years, his son Jedidiah Dyer, currently serving in the U.S. Navy, his stepson Eric Dietrich giving him the happiness of two grandchildren. He is also survived by a daughter and four grandchildren.
