Obituary: Brice Drewry was born on 21, 1923 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on 18th 2011. Brice was born in Seminole Oklahoma to William and Floy Drewry and was the sixth of ten children. Raised on a farm, endured the dust bowl and the depression, was a soldier in WWII, married to his Jewel for almost 60 years and a great dad, is what made him part of the Greatest Generation. He served his country enlisting in the Army Infantry in 1939 at the age of 16 until his discharge in 1945. He served in the anti aircraft division (which consisted of releasing balloons that would entangle German aircraft causing them to crash) in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Brice started working in the oil industry upon his discharge from the Army. He worked for various companies including Santé Fe Drilling , RB Montgomery and was working for Pool Offshore out of Santa Barbara when he retired in 1985. When Brice retired, he became the neighbor kids best friend, always filling their bike tires with air and providing a soda on a hot afternoon. He is survived by his children, Linda and Donnie Young, Randall and Cheryl Drewry, Pamela and Gary Kitchens, Ed & Sheila Drewry and Earlena Perea as well as his brother in law Richard Vaughn. Preceding him in death was his wife Jewel, granddaughter Kimmie Parmelee and grandson Zach Williford. Brice and Jewels legacy of 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren has certainly left their mark on this earth. |

Obituary: John F. Drewisch 1935-2017 It is with great sadness that the family of John F. Drewisch of Paso Robles, Calif., formerly of Santa Barbara, Calif., announce his passing on 11, 2017, at the age of 82. John was born 19, 1935, in Santa Barbara, Calif. at St. Francis Hospital to Frederick J. and Florence R. Drewisch. John graduated from Santa Barbara Catholic High School in 1952. He then attended Taft Junior to continue his football career; however, his aspirations were abruptly ended a year later when he was involved in a car accident in which the vehicle was struck by a train. He began his plastering career by working for his father's plastering company, a trade in which he continued for over 60 years. John met the love of his life, Josie, at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara. wed at the Santa Barbara Mission 4, 1956 and they continued to reside in Santa Barbara as they raised their three children. John and Josie relocated to Paso Robles in the early 80's, where he could utilize his family business experience and establish his own plastering company. John was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 44 years, Josephine "Josie" (Brunello) Drewisch; and his sister, Katherine Schwalenberg. He is lovingly remembered by his brother, William Drewisch (wife Zena); brothers-in-law: Toby Schwalenberg and Bobby Gutierrez (wife Toni); his son, Fred Drewisch; daughters: Susan Ulrich (husband John) and Katy Cushman (husband Neil); six grandchildren: Cortnie Muniz, Ashley Ulrich, Kyle Cushman, Dennan Bryant, Rachelle Maloney and Dale Cushman; and two great- grandchildren: Kade and Rylie Muniz. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm, 26, 2017, at the Cushman Residence for family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in honor of John. under the direction of Kuehl-Nicolay . |
