Obituary: When Jackson Dosh walked into the room, those in his company felt energy, an enthusiastic spontaneity. This was just one example of who Jackson was and how he impacted those around him. Jackson was a clever and gregarious person who always sought out the finest attributes in other people. It was as if Jackson wanted to share all of their experiences, revel in their lives and celebrate their discoveries. Jackson was tireless and had boundless enthusiasm that would serve him well throughout his life. Jackson was born on May 1, 1978 at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, California. He was the son of Linda and John Dosh. Jackson was raised in Upland, California. Always at the ready with a good joke, he grew up to be quite a humorous person. While some who knew Jackson might describe him as an idealist, his friends and family understood well that Jackson was always in pursuit of lifes endless possibilities and opportunities available to him. Jackson was raised with one sibling. He had little sister, Amanda. Jackson was very accepting and supportive of his family. He was perceived as the central person in his family in terms of keeping communication open between the family members. Whenever discord or tension arose within the home, Jackson was typically the member who brought about resolution and harmony. These traits served Jackson well in his adult life and, along with his wit, outgoing personality, and understanding of others, drew the admiration of many who knew him. As a young boy, Jackson was able to empathize and identify with a vast array of people and personality types. This quality drew him into a diverse group of friends and acquaintances. Jackson was intelligent and had little trouble getting along with his peers. He was almost always the first to jump in when it came to playing games or participating in other childhood activities. Jackson took part in baseball, and soccer. He was in Little League and Pony League. In his spare time he liked to play baseball, go camping with his grandparents, and collect baseball cards. Jackson had the ability to find amusement with almost any activity he and the many childhood friends he shared might discover. During his high school years, Jackson responded enthusiastically to any new project and was regularly in search of one adventure after another. He graduated from Montezuma-Cortez High School, In Cortez Colorado in 1996. Jackson was a very good student, and generally did well in his courses. Jackson absorbed as much as he could from all of his teachers and was consistently able to tackle conceptual and abstract problems, using his imagination to master his assignments. For Jackson, school often became just an extension of playtime, thanks to his ability to turn just about anything into a game. Classmates considered Jackson a good listener, knowing that when necessary, they could go to him to discuss just about anything. The teacher he enjoyed learning from the most was Mrs. Love. Jackson made the Varsity team for baseball. With a talent for making acquaintances easily which in turn brought him an endless stream of friends, Jackson was very sociable and could blend without effort into any social group. Assertive and outgoing, Jackson was easy to know and demonstrated a deep concern for others. He always seemed aware of what was going on with people around him and throughout his life he made many, many friends. Later in life, he became friends with Nathan Plemons, John Sanford, Alisa Hegwood, Robbie Tucker, and Jess Sanders. Jackson was a natural and creative parent who was willing to provide his family with all sorts of new and interesting experiences. For Jackson, parenting was a particularly enjoyable and pleasurable part of his life. Every activity, from chores to bedtime routines, became a game in the Dosh home. Jackson's skill at understanding his children's feelings, his sensitivity to their needs, and his gift for gentle persuasion enabled him to find novel solutions to any problem or situation that might crop up. Jackson was blessed with one child: one son, Austin Jackson Dosh. Jackson was uplifted by new ideas and was excited by lifes possibilities, traits that made him an exceptional worker. His primary occupation was Contruction Contracter. He was employed for MJ Construction, Valley Electric, BEC, and Emory C. Jackson Construction. Jackson was enterprising, inventive and working against deadlines seemed to energize him. Jackson had the uncanny ability to identify a win/win solution to just about any problem, possibly because of his gift for insight. Jackson's fellow workers saw him as a supporter and a mentor. Because Jackson loved to have a broad variety of activities in his life, he took advantage of the opportunity to pursue numerous hobbies. His favorite pursuits were hunting, boating, baseball, and golf. Jackson had a knack for being able to multi-task in order to create time for all of his favorite pastimes. However, Jackson's ever-present concern for others always took precedent. Jackson derived much satisfaction from participating in and watching sports. His charisma, supportive nature and ability to improvise when called upon to do so all made perfect attributes for enjoying a great many sporting activities. In high school, Jackson played baseball. Recreational sports included golf, and baseball. Jackson was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed watching his favorite events whenever he got the opportunity. Tops on his list were baseball, and football. Jackson's love of improvising in his daily life was a perfect fit for his enjoyment of traveling. His favorite vacations were ones that were not planned. Traveling in a casual manor fit his personality well. Excited about seeing changing scenery and constantly looking for the enjoyment life could offer, Jackson took his vacations seriously, well, as seriously as he possibly could. Obituary: Eileen McCormick Doser Born: 11, 1927 Died: Dec. 21, 2010 Eileen McCormick was born in a cabin in the woods, close by Ida, Oklahoma. Born of an illiterate mother and a career soldier father, she lived through the depression and the dust bowl migration to California. World War II found her working as a waitress in San Diego California. She followed her family to Bakersfield after the war ended. There Eileen met and married George Doser, a part time Cab Driver, Professional Boxer, Card Dealer and Ladies Man. Not being able to have children, Eileen went on an adoption spree, looking for little girls to raise. Two Boys, two Girls, and many nieces later, Eileen, George, and children landed in Merced, California. joined the Elks Organization as members of the Emblem Club and Elks Lodge. Eileen served as President during her time as a member. For years, Eileen attended the Calvary Baptist Church on Yosemite Park Way. A few years after George died, Eileen found a new dance partner in Virgil McCarthy. He helped take care of Eileen and her children until his death a few years ago. Eileen was stricken by cancer and passed quietly in her sleep, at home. Eileen is preceded by her parents, Walter Franklin McCormick and Ethel Ralls McCormick, her brothers Orlan McCormick and Julius Skip McCormick. Eileen is survived by her brother Walter McCormick, in Kansas, her son, Renney Doser and wife Anne, her son Orlan, her daughter Sabrina Doser-Anderson and husband Aron, and her daughter Sherry Doser Cardoza and husband Eric. She is also survived by grandchildren; Stefan Doser, Shasta Doser, Dakota Doser, Rebecca Anderson, Courtney Cardoza and Joshua Cardoza. Eileen is also survived by the iece of her heart Madison Webber. A gravesite service will be held at the Chowchilla cemetery, on Dec. 28th. under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced , Merced, CA. |
