Obituary: William Joseph Domas, 87, died peacefully in his sleep 12-13-14. He was born 25, 1927 in Illinois to Lemuel A. and Josephine (Connors) Domas. While in the Army, Bill got married and soon moved to California. He with his family resided in an old Victorian house in Montclair since 1960. Fixing up the house was challenging but he did it with excellence. Employed in the aerospace industry Bill worked as an electrical reliability engineer for General Dynamics. He enjoyed family, saving money, and motorcycles. William was a loyal parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church for 54 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Eileen Domas of Montclair: seven children, Kathryn Anne Copeland, Theresa Marie Griggs, Peter William Domas, Shirley Domas Steele, Dorothy Jo Olsen, Mark Charles Domas, and Nichole Alexandria Olson; four son in laws, William Copeland, William L Griggs Jr, Donald E Steele, and Pete C Olson; six grandchildren, Colleen Copeland, Lisa Griggs, Angela Copeland, Tracy Griggs, Karl Olsen, Katrina Olsen; and three great grandchildren, Julio Letona IV, Michael Sullin, and Rylan Sullin. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Deloris Domas and Rita Clare Domas. Brother Boneface of Assumption Abbey, Ava, MO is his only remaining sibling. Obituary: Seeing is believing. For many, those words simply represent a motto. But for Suzette Roa Domantay, it summarized in every way who she was. She was modest, quiet and observant, taking in everything around her and always thinking before acting. She was a realist, someone who was efficient and practical in everything she did. She was a friendly person who truly cared about those around her. Suzette was born on 21, 1951 at Batangas City, Batangas, Philippines.. She was the daughter of Basilio and Maria Corazon Roa. Raised in Batangas City, Philippines, she was brought up to be tolerant and trustworthy. As a child, she learned to be conscientious, responsible and punctual. These were all traits that she would carry with her throughout her life. As a young girl, Suzette was always aware of how others around her felt and this quality served her well. With a deep capacity to tolerate the feelings of others, Suzette was generally able to avoid conflicts. It seemed as if Suzette was the family member who was always working to keep stress at bay. Preferring a quiet environment where she could concentrate, Suzette also had the ability to relate well with her family and friends. Suzette was raised with one sister Cynthia. Suzette was constantly involved in activities with her family. Suzette and her siblings had the typical rivalries while growing up but they deeply cared for each other and shared many life experiences over the years. Growing up, Suzette was one of those children who didn need to be in the center of a whirlwind of activity. She was content to entertain herself. Suzette was never pushy when it came to games and other activities, but rather, she was able to enjoy the pure fun these could bring. In just about everything she did as a child, Suzette was intent on pleasing both the adults and the other children around her. Suzette took part in a number of activities as a child. In her spare time she liked reading, watching tv and spending time with her husband and family as well as shopping and taking care of her Grandson. Suzette's memorable achievements included raising a wonderful and successful happy family. Suzette enjoyed learning. She always had a great memory and was particularly skilled at retaining factual information. Suzette was generally quiet in class, learning best through observation. She often showed great concentration and was competent at completing the tasks at hand. Good with details, Suzette was painstaking and accurate in her efforts. All of these talents culminated in a successful high school career. She graduated from St. Bridget High in 1968. Suzette enjoyed some courses more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers. Suzette had a good disposition for the challenges of college. She always enjoyed reading, so all of those lengthy required reading assignments seemed to be less of a burden for her. In fact, Suzette seemed to absorb and remember everything she read. Not all things came easily to Suzette, however, and she found success by being a diligent and accurate person who would dig into a project and work through until it reached its completion. She was very thorough and labored long and hard in order to reach her goals. She attended Concordia of earning her Bachelor of Science in nursing in 1973. Love can be defined but must be experienced. That was so true for Suzette. On 14, 1981 Suzette married Crisanto I. It was as if Suzette naturally sensed her spouses needs, and accepted those feelings unconditionally. Although Suzette disliked conflict, she did not take flight from discord, but rather sought to preserve harmony even during the most trying times. Suzette was a good mother to her children. She had old fashioned parental values and could handle typical family conflicts in a fair and calm manner. Because she trusted emotions, Suzette was reluctant to force issues and used gentle persuasion to resolve situations. In this way she seemed to radiate an aura of warmth and caring to those around her, always thinking before acting. In addition, Suzette was a master planner. No matter how hectic life around her might be, she seemed to know and track everyones schedule. Suzette was blessed with 2 daughters, Marissa and Misty. were also blessed with 1 grandson, Jaden K. Onosaki. If you gave Suzette a deadline, she would meet it. At work, Suzette was always on task. Without hesitation, Suzette could adhere to any assignment and see it through to its completion. Her primary occupation was a Registered Nurse. She was employed for 36 years. During that time, Suzette excelled in working with small groups in order to complete assignments. She was able to quickly grasp concrete ideas and could organize and plan the best way to accomplish things with remarkable consistency. Suzette was good at staying on track and was considerate in listening to what others had to say. In this way, Suzette had a true gift for being able to come up with practical resolutions to difficult problems. She was often the team member who managed to put forth a win/win solution for all parties. Suzette passed away on 7, 2016 at San Diego, California. Cancer. She is survived by her husband Cris and daughters Marissa and Misty, her grandson Jaydn and son-in-law Darrell. Services will be held on , 17, 2016 at St. Michael Catholic Church, San Diego, California. Suzette will be laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California. It is said that some people can see the forest for the trees. Suzette was able to focus on each individual tree, tending to its needs, thus making the forest stronger as a whole.
