Obituary: Adrian Jacob Diepersloot of Visalia, CA, died 12, 2014, peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born 31, 1933, in Harderwijk, The Netherlands. Following his schooling, Adrian entered the Dutch Air force, where he was a meteorologist. During this time, he met Willy Wilgenburg. On May 8, 1955 they became engaged. On 25, 1955, he sailed with his brother Joop to emigrate to the United States. first settled in Michigan, moving to Southern California in of 1956 to join the Wilgenburg family, who had emigrated as well. In 14, 1958, Adrian and Willy were married. lived in San Diego before moving to Dinuba in 1963, finally settling in Visalia in 1968. Adrian and his brother Joop started the Diepersloot Brothers Dairy and enjoyed a partnership for 42 years. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Western United Dairymen and Farm Credit. The most important things in Adrians life were his family and his love for God. Verses 38-39 of Romans 8 brought him great strength as his health declined during the past 6 years. For I am convinced, that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Adrian was one of the founding members of the Visalia Christian Reformed Church and was active as a Deacon and Elder and involved in many other church activities. He consistently exhibited kindness, love, humor and integrity throughout his life. Adrian will be missed by his wife of 56 years, Willy Diepersloot and his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Children: John & Janet Bengtson, Bob & Willemina Diepersloot, Jacque & Paul Baxley, John & Susan Diepersloot, Wimpie & Rob VanGrouw, and Lisa & Steve Schnitzler. Grandchildren: Jessica & AJ deJager, Adrian & Jaclyn Diepersloot, Jordan & Jenae Diepersloot, Chris & Krissy Bengtson, Jordan & Lauren VanGrouw, Jillian Diepersloot, Aaron Bengtson, Jake & Kathryn Diepersloot, Tyler & Elisa VanGrouw, Tyler Baxley, Robby Diepersloot, Brit Baxley, James Bengtson, Derek VanGrouw, Hudson Hanlon, Elliana Diepersloot, Zackary Diepersloot, Caleb Diepersloot, Willemina Baxley, Hayes Hanlon, Erin VanGrouw, Josh Schnitzler & Timmy Schnitzler. Great-grandchildren: Annabelle deJager, Lila deJager, Brooklyn Diepersloot, Cameron deJager, Cade Diepersloot, Trey deJager, Brock VanGrouw, Mina Diepersloot, and Willem Diepersloot. He will also be missed by his siblings: Jan & Jean Diepersloot, Jack & Ann Diepersloot, Pete & Ila Diepersloot, Corrie & Hank VanderPols, Etta Copeland, and Betty Diepersloot and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Jan & Rosetta Diepersloot, siblings Joop & Ans Diepersloot, Ryan Diepersloot, Johanna Diepersloot, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eibert & Elisabeth Wilgenburg. Visitation will be held 17th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. On 18th at 9:00 am the interment service will be at the Visalia Public District , followed by the memorial service at 10:30 am at the Visalia Christian Reformed Church (1030 S. Linwood Ave, Visalia).
