Obituary: Emilio B. Delacruz Biography Emilio B. Delacruz was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Emilio will be remembered as a very exceptional person. Emilio was born on 8, 1950 in Calle Garcia, Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines. He was the son of Anastacio Barrongan Delacruz and Juliana DeloSantos Bravo. Emilio grew up in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines. Emilio was raised with three siblings. He had a sister Gloria, and two brothers, o and Bernabe. Emilio was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings and they shared many life experiences over the years. A typical teenager, Emilio had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Urdaneta Community High School in 1967. Emilio enjoyed his college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Emilio was able to manage the balancing act. He majored in Business Administration at National University, Manila Philippines, for three years, but left to enlist in The United States Navy. On 2, 1975, Emilio exchanged wedding vows with Florence Vergara Publico at Baguio Cathedral of Baguio City, Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Emilio was committed to making his new family happy. While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Emilio was blessed with three children, one son, Emil Eric and two daughters Zarah Abigail and Sharon May. Emilio worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs, raising them in a positive and nurturing environment. Another blessing for Emilio was the gift of four grandchildren, two granddaughters, Rayne Anastacia and Alex Sophia, and two grandsons, Elijah Asher and Ezekiel Linus. Emilio retired from, The United States Navy. Through his hard work, he achieved the rank of AD1. He received several awards recognizing him for his service, including: a Good Conduct Medal (5th), National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Overseas Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy E" Ribbon and the Navy Achievement Medal. His fellow soldiers viewed him as a brother in arms and knew that he was as much a part of their family as their loved ones back home. How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Emilio enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Emilio worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. He was employed with Solar Turbines, for more than 19 years. Emilio always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done. Emilio enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were playing basketball, singing karaoke, running and watching movies. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes along with his loving wife, but was also willing to share his interests with others. Emilio 's memorable achievements included; earning credentials as a licensed Minister for International Assemblies of the First Born, Inc., and Served as a Deacon, Church Council Member, Bible Study Leader, and Community Outreach Leader for Assemblies of the First Born Chapel, San Diego, and Led bible study group, homeless outreach, and prison ministry at Solar Turbines. Emilio passed away from Neuroendocrine Esophageal Cancer on 31, 2016 in San Diego, California. He is survived by his wife Florence, his son Eric and his wife Cynthia, his daughters Abigail and her husband Seth Maghirang and Sharon, his brother o, his sister-in-law Fely, his sister Gloria Herminigildo and his brother in law Narciso, brother Bernabe and his wife Frances Delacruz, his mother-in-law Carmen Publico, his brothers-in-law, Don Martin, Sonny Coloma, Ike Siruno, Alfredo and his wife Elizabeth Publico, Dan and his wife Precy and Efren and his wife Cecil Publico. His sisters-in-law Loretta Martin, Cecil Coloma and Imelda Siruno, Helen, Julie and husband Romeo, Katherine and husband Mhen: and 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and extended family members. Visitation services were held at the Little Chapel of the Roses, Bonita, California, on , 7, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel, Bonita, California on , 8, 2016 and , 9, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Service Officiated by Pastor Eduardo Maghirang was held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel, Bonita, California, on , 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM. A Reception Immediately following the Service was held at the Marina Village Marine Room in San Diego, California, on , 10, 2016. Emilio was laid to rest in Miramar National , San Diego, California, on , 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Military Honors by The United States Navy. Simply stated, Emilio was a god loving and god fearing good and kind person and a an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and generous person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. He leaves behind him a legacy of a loving family, life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Emilio. |

Delacruz 17, 1949 - 21, 2015 EDISON MARZAN DELACRUZ, an adored father, husband, brother and a remarkable man, passed away on 21, 2015 in Providence Holy Cross, Mission Hills at the age of 66. Edisons life was a complete one, filled with career, family, friendship and travels with his wife, Marilou, and family. His children, Emjay, Derek, Gwen, and Hannah Joy will always remember him as a warm, affectionate and loving father. He was our rock, with one great piece of advice for anyone with a problem, Forget about it! Edison was born in Calinawan, Isabela, Philippines, son of Florante and Estrella Delacruz. He was the 3rd eldest among his 5 siblings, Robert, Elizabeth Efraem and Evelyn. He graduated from the Philippines University of the East with a Bachelor in Science in business administration. With an open opportunity to move to the USA with family, Edison lived in Hawaii working different jobs. He then moved to California where he would remain while working as a loan consultant at Great Western Bank. One day while attending church he reconnected with his best friends sister, Malou Rimando, who later became his wife. Edison had four children, Gwen, Emjay, Derek and the late Hannah Joy. Due to health reasons, Edison was forced to retire when Emjay was just a little boy. family and friends, Edisons greatest joy was to watch basketball. He was an avid L.A. Clippers fan. He also loved Facebook and posting inspiration quotes in the morning. Aside from being an inspirational philosopher on social media, Edisons other talents included being a jack of all trades by doing various projects around the house. Painting, roofing, and building a new patio are some projects he completed, to name a few. Road trips, camping and the Beatles were also his joys. Above all, his greatest pleasure in life was raising his children with his wife. . |
