Obituary: AGNES FARRELL, Februaury 29, 1923- 16, 2015 Agnes Farrell Aspinall died peacefully in Atlanta, on , 16, 2015, surrounded by her two surviving children, William L. Aspinall, of Miami, and Lynn Aspinall Henry, of Atlanta, and her adoring grandchildren. Agnes was predeceased by her husband, John Taylor Aspinall, daughter Bonnie, son John (J.) T. Jr, and son, Robert. Agnes was a faithful, devoted Catholic unto her last breath. She was devoted to her husband, her children, including her loving daughter-in-law, Lenore, and her devoted son-in-law, Buddy, and her Catholic faith. She lived every day to the fullest and was cheering at her grandchildren's basketball games this past night. Agnes moved to Miami in 1953 with her husband John and began teaching high school at Miami Jackson. She retired from the Dade School System in 1983; retiring from John F. Kennedy Junior High School. She was active in the church, St. Rose of Lima and in the Miami Shores Community, sitting on the Mayors Task Force and as President of the Business and Professional Women's Club. Agnes proudly helped raise her grandchildren, Wes and Ariel. She traveled extensively and visited the Vatican with a group from the Archdiocese of Miami. Even late in her life, Agnes had a zest for adventure; she was known to demand a turn on the inner tube behind the family boat! She is survived by her children William (Bill) and her daughter Lynn, and her husband, H.C. (Buddy) Henry and her daughter-in-law Lenore Aspinall and nine grandchildren, John T. (J.T.) III, Ian, Wesley, and Ariel Aspinall, and Bonnie, Calvin, Helene, Sean and Caroline Henry. The Lord blessed her with a quick and peaceful passing as she had earned in a life of devotion. Obituary: Darwin Edward Asper , age 88 passed away on 17, 2011, in Goddard KS. Darwin was born in Anthony, Kansas, 3, 1922, to Leonidas and Mable Asper. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Vida Brown and brothers, Robert and Richard Asper. Surviving siblings include, a sister, Marilyn Myers, Chula Vista, CA, and a brother Junior Asper, Oklahoma City, OK. Darwin graduated from Oxford HS. He enlisted in the Marine Corp during WW II and served in the Pacific. an honorable discharge, he attended Kansas State University where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He graduated with a B.S. degree in agriculture economics. It was there he met and married Dorothy Eggerman, his wife for 62 years. His career began with the Soil Conservation Service in Great Bend, Kansas. He later worked for the Federal Land Bank for 25 plus years. He ended his career as a land appraiser in Colorado, working until 1999. He then retired with his wife Dorothy, to Port St Lucie, Florida. returned to Wichita, in 2006. Darwin was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. He was known for espousing the attributes of enthusiasm and having a positive attitude. He leaves his wife Dorothy, Goddard, KS, their daughter Maridee Hopper of Goddard KS, her husband Jim, bonus granddaughters, Meghan and Mackenzie Hopper and son Darwin E. Asper II of Camden NC, his wife Sandy and two grandchildren, Jeff and Julie Asper. A memorial/tribute service will be 12, 2011 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 1101 N. River Blvd, Wichita, Kansas, at 11 am. A memorial at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church has been established in lieu of flowers. |

Obituary: CAROL SUE ASPER (58) FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - Carol Sue (Avila) Asper, a longtime resident of Fort Lauderdale, passed away on 25, 2017. Carol moved to Fort Lauderdale from her hometown of Provincetown, Massachusetts, in 1982, and passed away on her 58th birthday. Some people leave this world without having lived a full life. Carol was not one of them. She was so gorgeous that, during a trip with her sister-in-law a few years ago, she wasn't allowed in this store in Maine where the clerks were inmates in a nearby jail; thinking her presence might be a distraction to these prisoners. She was known to cause a near riot in certain clubs in New York City, and we can't even talk about her sunbathing in the Bahamas, except to say that an unusual number of boats always suddenly moored nearby. But being beautiful was not the major attribute Carol would want us to talk about. Among others there was her voice; that voice that all of us can still hear; that voice that could calm the ocean waters if you were hurt or upset. It had that low sexy quality, but it was more like "Don't worry, I've got this." And there was this unfathomable medical knowledge which many have seen in action; the man who literally owes his life to her who was lucky enough to be in a restaurant at the same time as Carol. There was Carols constant advice about whatever might ail you, and a free flow of information that made you wonder if she had secretly gone to medical school. But it's her amazing sense of humor that we believe she would like to have mentioned here. She was a world-class mimic, a great animal-sounder, but she was especially funny when in the face of impending disaster. Singing the song from Gilligan's Island while stuck on a small faltering boat, with no land in sight, is but a small example. Carol was born on 25, 1959, and lived in Provincetown, in the home built by her late father, Art Avila, Sr., a World War II veteran, and a noted Cape Cod contractor. She learned early that she could enjoy performing for others, and with the help of her dad and late mom Teri, Carol took her beloved horse Lady throughout New England in their homemade horse trailer where she excelled in various forms of equine competition; winning many awards at these horse shows. And then as she matured into this beautiful young lady she became a model, traveling the world as she made her living building this amazing portfolio of fashion and print ads and events. Carol met her husband Rick in 1980, and both of their worlds changed. Rick pursued Carol relentlessly, and they were married in 1990, in two ceremonies; one on the east coast for their friends and family near the Atlantic, and then a week later in California, for their Pacific friends and Ricks family. Carol worked in Ricks aviation practice for a few years, and then devoted her time to some of her favorite charities, while planning the extensive world travel she and Rick pursued for business and pleasure. Carol is survived by her beloved husband Richard A. (Rick) Asper of Fort Lauderdale, her brother Arthur Avila Jr., and sister-in-law Debbie, both of Cohasset, MA; her sister Patricia Suggs and brother-in-law Jay Suggs, both of Dennis, MA. She is also survived by her loving niece Jennifer Anthony, along with Jennifers husband, Brad Gallagher, and nieces and nephews Evan Phillips, Brittany Avila, Bryce Avila & Brenley Avila; and countless cousins, including lifelong buddies Sherry (Avila) & Daz Alberty, and Scotty Avila. In this world, there are people we will miss, and then there are people we will REALLY miss forever. Carol Sue Avila Asper is definitely one of those. Celebrations of life in Carols honor are being held in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, on 29, 2017, and in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on May 27, 2017.
