Obituary: Aslan- James Elias, 60, of Palm Bay, Florida. Mr. James E. Aslan, Manufacturing Engineer with Northrop Grumman for over 28 years, retiring in 2006, died , 27, 2010 at his residence under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice of Brevard . Mr. Aslan was a native of Jacksonville, FL, attended the University of Tampa where he played on the football team, and graduated with his Associates Degree from Jones in 1994. He moved to Palm Bay, FL in 2000 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Melbourne, Army National Guard of Florida 1971-1974, United States Army 1971-1973, Army National Guard of New York 1981-1984, and Vietnam War Veteran. Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years Lisa (Daniels) Aslan of Palm Bay; three children: James Scott Aslan (Katie), Palm Bay, Fl, Jessica Ann Aslan (Nicholas Daily), Palm Bay, FL, and Timothy Joseph Aslan (Karissa Myers), Palm Bay, FL; two grandchildren Emerson Grace and Broden James Aslan; brothers David Aslan and Tommy Aslan, sister Donna (Aslan) Drake, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on 30, 2010 from 3-5 pm at the Riverside Memorial Park & Town & Country , 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, FL. will be , 31, 2010 at 2pm at Riverside Memorial Park & Town & Country . There will be a memorial service at First Baptist Church of Melbourne at a following date. Obituary: Ruth M. Askins, 92 of Homosassa, Florida died on , 28, 2015. She was born in Cicero, Illinois on , 10, 1923 to Michael and Rose Madura. Ruth graduated from Douglas at Rutgers University with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in Lecanto, Florida, a member of Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club; where she enjoyed golfing with the Womens 18 Hole Group and was a member of Chapter CP & HLPEO for over fifty years. Ruth was a volunteer with the Red Cross Hospital, Meals On Wheels and was a Cub Scout leader. She enjoyed playing duplicate bridge and refinishing antique furniture. Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Peter Askins. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, C. Eugene Askins of Homosassa, Florida; son, Scott Askins of St. Petersburg, Florida; daughter-in-law Kathi Askins, Farmington Hills, Michigan and grandchildren Bryan Askins of Baltimore, Maryland and Taylor Noelle Askins of Kalamazoo, Michigan. A Memorial Service of Remembrance will take place at Faith Lutheran Church, 935 S. Crystal Glen Drive, Lecanto, Florida 34461 on , Jan. 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M..
