Obituary: Dawn Marion Anatole-McSween was born on 8, 1965 to loving parents Gloria Cynthia and Peter Joseph Anatole in San-Fernando, Trinidad W.I. The youngest of 3 siblings, she was friendly, funny, fiery, fabulous and faithful. A devout Christian, she grew up in the Adventist church; lending her talents and actively serving over the years in the childrens, womens, Sabbath school and music ministries. Dawn met and married the love of her life, Jellino Andrew McSween, on 27 1986 and went on to build a blissful and successful life together serving the Lord. Family always came first for Dee Dee, so in 1995, she immigrated from La Brea, Trinidad to Ft. Lauderdale, FL to be closer to immediate and extended family. She established relationships in both Tallahassee and Lauderhill communities during her college years forging strong friendships for life. She eventually called Lauderhill Seventh Day Adventist her church home as a member of this community of believers where she established unbreakable bonds with friends who became family. Dawn obtained both a Bachelors degree in Special Education and a Masters degree in Public from Florida International University. She taught in the Broward School system for a few years before making the sacrifice to put a hold on that career to start another phase of her life. On 31, 2003, Dawns 17 year prayer marathon was answered and she gave birth to her pride and joy, miracle child, her heartbeat Dajel Murie. She home schooled her daughter for several years and they were the best of friends. Being a good wife, mother, sister, daughter and Christian were her highest priorities. A cornflake connoisseur, frequent traveler and a ubby nailed naturalista - Dawns beauty, brains and bravery captivated all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Jellino and daughter, Dajel. Her mother, Gloria; sister Debra and brother Dave. Her nieces Rochelle and Rhemila; her great nephew Rochon, great nieces Cheyenne, Brianna and Ryan Nicole. As well, her brothers-in-law, Douglas, Brian, Marlon and Che, sisters-in-law Marilyn, Ellen and Jemma, and nephew-in-law, Almiron. Gone too soon, Dawns lovable legacy lives on infinitely in each one of us, her family and friends. She will be missed and we love her to the moon and back. Until we meet again, rest in peace Dee Dee, until the Master calls you forth and says well done. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Obituary: Rechilda Marie Anastassiou, 84, of Clearwater, FL passed away 1st, 2017 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. services will be held 7th, 2017 10:30 am visitation followed by mass, Espirit Santo Catholic Church 2405 Philippe Parkway Safety Harbor, FL 34695 followed by burial Sylvan Abbey 2853 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759. Rechilda was born in Philadelphia, PA on 12th, 1931, to Albert Orlando and Rose Elizabeth Castracane. She grew up in South Philadelphia on South Taylor Street and later moved to NW 62nd St. graduating from West Catholic Girls High School. She married and had two beautiful children Stephen George Anastassiou and Constance Roseann Anastassiou Rose in Pennsylvania, 1958 moved with her young family to Tampa, Florida. She is the proud grandmother of Morgan Steven Rose, Jordan Anastassiou, Dr. Courtney Elizabeth Rose and her first great grandson Rhys Levy Rose. Other survivors include her grand daughter-in-law Melissa Rose. Rechilda had a very fulfilling career working in accounting and credit collections for Singleton Shrimp, National Linen Services, GTE Data Services, and Jim Walters Window division. She had a beautiful soprano opera voice and loved her years singing in the following choirs; West Catholic Girls High School, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and Incarnation Catholic Church. Rechilda absolutely loved family and friends and took pride in documenting family history and preserving the memories, stories and minute details of her family. She had the most amazing pictures of her family going back to those that came from Italy. One of her biggest honors was being a grandmother and great-grandmother. In her younger years she was extremely adventurous, traveling to Italy, Hawaii and on a Transatlantic voyage aboard the Queen Mary. She wanted to explore and experience as much as she could in life. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert Orlando, Rose Elizabeth Castracane, and her son Stephen George Anastassiou. The family would like to thank everyone for the incredible outpouring of support during this time. To honor Rechilda, flowers can be delivered to the funeral home in remembrance of her beautiful long lived life. |
