Obituary: Vita M. Anastasi, 92, passed peacefully 7, 2017 after an extended illness. Vita is survived by her daughter, Jean Carol and son-in-law Lenny Longo son William Anastasi, Jr.; two grand children Lenny Longo II, Dara and her husband Michael Seise; two great-grandchildren, Adriana and Giuliana Seise; her sister Rosemary Lorello, brother Paul and Theresa Marrone, sisters-in-law Connie Esposito, Ida and Nick Basirico and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband William L. Anastasi, Sr., her parents Antonette and Vincenzo Marrone and brothers-in-law Joseph Lorello, Sr., Vito and John Anastasi, and sister-in-law Mary Sceusa. Vita was born in Brooklyn, NY, in 21, 1924, and married her sweetheart William “Bill” Anastasi, in 1946. moved to Tampa in 1951. She was a wonderful homemaker, cook, baker, mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important aspect of her life. Vita especially loved her two grandchildren, Lenny and Dara, and her great-grandchildren Adriana and Giuliana Seise. She took care of them often and participated in many school functions. Her volunteer work included the PTA at MacFarlane Park Elementary, West Tampa Jr. High; “Pink Lady” at St. Joseph Hospital; Wellness on Wheels; H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Program. She worked with her sister at Rosemary's Day Nursery and in later years as hostess at Lorello's Restaurant, always assisting her family in whatever they needed. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tampa. The family will receive friends for Visitation , 15, 2017 between 10 and 11 AM at Garden of Memories followed by an 11 AM service and Entombment at Garden of Memories . The family thanks Melech Hospice House’s Dr. Jose Fernandez, nurses, Elva, Nandy, Caryl, Kathy, Burnadette, Feliscia, aides, Marie, volunteers, Janet Ricklick and clergy, Father Christian and Sister Marie: for your kindness, empathy, and service to Vita we thank you. Our family wishes to sincerely thank Stacy Farias in particular for the special care she took of Vita in her time of need.
