Obituary: Gretchen Meyer Binegar, 68, of 38 Spring Island Drive, Callawassie Island, Okatie, South Carolina, formerly of Owensboro, died , 8, 2007 in Savannah, Georgia. Gretchen Meyer was born 25, 1938, in Owensboro, to the late Adele Goebel and Karl Joseph Meyer of Livermore, KY. She was married 6, 1964, to Dr. Garry N. Binegar at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cincinnati. Gretchen was a 1956 graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School and a 1960 graduate of Spalding University in Louisville where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in . graduating, she worked at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital and later taught nursing at Good Samaritan Hospital, also in Cincinnati. Gretchen eventually moved to Owensboro with her husband where they lived for 33 years, before retiring in 2005 to the Low Country in South Carolina. She was an active member of St. Stephens Cathedral, where she served on the board of the Catholic Charities of Owensboro and Western Kentucky, the parish council, and was a Eucharistic minister. She was also a member of the Blessed Mother Parish School Board. She was a former member of the Owensboro Junior League, the Owensboro Garden Club, and the Daviess Medical Society Alliance. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and playing golf. Above all, Gretchen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Dr. Garry N. Binegar of Callawassie Island, SC; two daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Robert Champagne of Marietta, GA, and Heidi and Jeffrey Outland of Benton, KY; a son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Megan Elicker Binegar of Fort Wright, KY; a mother-in-law, Agnes Binegar of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Sabrina Johnston, and Margaret and Kathleen Outland; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Col. John Stephen and Linda Robertson Meyer of Bowling Green, KY, and James Eric and Judith S. Meyer of Raleigh, NC; nine nieces and nephews, and a cousin, Patricia Hewston Uhl of Cincinnati. services will be held at 12:05 p.m. at St. Stephen Cathedral in Owensboro. Her final resting place will be Resurrection . Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. at Glenn . Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Obituary: Agnes W. Binegar, 97, of Owensboro and formerly of Hamilton, Ohio, died 28, 2008, at the Carmel in Owensboro. She was born in Blairsville, Georgia on 26, 1910. She was an active member of the Calvary Church in Hamilton, Ohio, and retired in 1981 as a supervisor in the dietary department of Hamilton Mercy Hospital. She was preceded in death by Earl Binegar, her husband of 47 years; her parents, Nelson and Jesse Kuykendall Willis; sisters, Alma Smith and Vesta Erb; brother, Lake Willis and his wife Dorothy; and a daughter-in-law, Gretchen Binegar. She is survived by her son, Dr. Garry Binegar, of Callawassie Island, SC, and formerly of Owensboro, Kentucky; grandchildren, Maria Champagne and her husband Robert of Marietta, Georgia, Heidi Outland and her husband Jeffery of Paducah, Kentucky, and Neil Binegar and his wife Megan Elicker of Ft. Wright, Kentucky; and great-grandchildren Sabrina Johnston and Margaret and Kathleen Outland. Services will be in the chapel at Rose Hill in Hamilton, Ohio at 2:00 p.m. eastern time on with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carmel , 2501 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303. Obituary: BOWLING GREEN- Hershel Thomas Bilyeu, age 57, departed his life for his Heavenly home on , May 31, 2014 at his home while being surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Muhlenberg on 5, 1956, he was the son of the late Hershel F. Bilyeu. He was a self employed contractor in Bowling Green and loved motorcycles and hanging out with all of his family and friends. Mr. Bilyeu will be sadly missed by all. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Bilyeu. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Bessie and Wendell English; daughters, (Nick) Rathbun, Tammy Bilyeu, Stacy Bilyeu; son, Daniel (Lacy) Pierce; grandchildren, Jorden Rathbun, Dylan Rathbun, Tyler Rathbun; other close grandchildren, Jaykob Pierce, Alix Pierce, Jaxsun Pierce, Alyssah Pierce; brothers, Richard Bilyeu and Steven (Julie) Bilyeu; sisters, Brenda (Wally) Bilyeu, Janice (Donnie) Frances, Loria (Richard) DeArmond, Gaila (Mike) Adams; several nieces and nephews; and two special ladies in his life, Pam Bilyeu and Jackie Freeman.
