Obituary: us L. AL Keithan, age 81, of Fleming Island, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away , 3, 2016, with family by his side. He was born 4, 1934 in Fall River, Massachusetts, a son of William C. and Maragret A. Keithan. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, William C Jr. and Kathleen Brown. AL is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elaine Bell Keithan, whom he married 11, 1954; one daughter, Cindy (Mike Harris) of Middleburg and one son Brian Keithan. Also surviving are two granddaughters: Jennifer (Brian Hinton), Middleburg; Melissa (Mitch Taylor), Middleburg and four great grandchildren: Cohyn and Aubrey Taylor and Colton and Brantley Hinton. He is also survived by one sister, Peggy Middleton of Cedarville Maryland and one brother James Keithan. Mr. Keithan was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served in the Korean Conflict. He retired from a long career in construction. He enjoyed going the YMCA, working in his work shop, and supporting his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Fleming Island. Obituary: Keith, Wesley James, Poppy, 94, went home to be with the Lord on , May 3, 2011. Wes was born 11, 1917 in Tomah, Wi. As a young man, Wes enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country in WWII and those who knew him for any length of time were undoubtedly entertained by some of the many interesting stories about his experiences in the war and in the Phillipines in particular. Even though he only spent a relatively short amount of time there, he was able to learn and fluently speak the Filipino national native language of Tagalog, and took every opportunity throughout the rest of his life to converse with any Filipinos he came in contact with. Another of our favorite military stories involved an incident in a field hospital after being wounded in battle. A colonel had come to visit him to present him with the distinguished Purple Heart Medal for his bravery in battle. Wes asked if this meant they would have to notify his mother that he had been wounded. When the colonel replied that they would, Wes, being the feisty, stubborn but caring man that he was, promptly told the colonel what he could do with his medal as he adamantly didn want his mother to know he had been injured for fear of causing her any more pain and worry over his being in the war. His love and concern for his mother was tantamount to all else. Wes was honorably discharged from the Army and highly decorated for his service including the aforementioned Purple Heart. the war, he began a long career as a crane and heavy equipment operator and member of the Operating Engineers Local 139. Wes was certified to operate the largest cranes in use at that time and was proud of his accomplishments in the field. Caring for others more than himself was a lifelong character trait of Wesley Keith. He personally cared for and nursed his young daughter, Nina, until her death from cancer at a very young age and then did the same again for his wife, Janet, when she became terminally ill. In his early 80s and a few years after Janet died, he met Florence Garrett, the last love of his life. shared many interests together including going to church, ballroom dancing and even roller skating. When Florence became seriously ill, he nursed her back to health several times even after the doctors had given up hope. He was her live-in caregiver until she finally went home to be with the Lord in 2008. He is survived by the Bryant and Steele-Keith families in Orlando and Wisconsin along with the Garrett-Knowles family of Orlando. Obituary: Virginia Katherine (Parker) Keith, 89, was called home by her Heavenly Father on 7, 2016 in Fort Pierce, FL. She was born 16, 1926 in Roanoke, Virginia to Terry Lee and Virginia Lorraine (Johnson) Parker both deceased. Among Virginia’s many accomplishments included ministering to the homeless and working for Vista Literacy Program in Fort Pierce. She loved arts and crafts, played the accordion and guitar and loved to sing. She was a strong woman of faith and blessed many people with her unselfish giving to the ministry of sharing Gods love and Salvation through Jesus Christ and loving her family unconditionally. Obituary: Ruth Alice Keith, 97, of Jacksonville passed away peacefully , 28, 2015 at the McGraw for Caring. She was born in North Dakota to Christian and Petra Sethne on 24, 1917. Ruth and her husband Hardin visited every state in the Continental U.S. in their Winnebago. She traveled around the world with her sister Frieda and chronicled every place they visited. Ruth enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, playing the piano, and chocolate. She was a woman grounded in her faith and service to God and a member of Englewood Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hardin C. Keith, son Rex Keith, her parents, brothers Leif, Norman, and Lynn, sisters Frieda Shankland and Pearl Sethne.
