Obituary: .Albert Jackson Keister Jack age 91 a resident of The Atrium Senior Living Facility, Jacksonville, Florida and widower of Rose Gurganus, passed away peacefully 17, 2011. Born in Dalton, Georgia, Jack was the son of Guy W. Keister and Emma W. Anderson Keister. He graduated from Dalton High School and later attended Strayer Business in Washington, D.C. He was a World War II veteran serving time in the Philippines with a tank battalion. He retired from General Motors with over 38 years of service. Jack lived for many years in Maitland, Florida before moving to Jacksonville, Florida after the death of his wife. He enjoyed dancing, shooting pool, playing bridge, watching baseball and Happy Hour. He volunteered at y Hand Cox Parker . He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winter Park, Florida where he served as an usher for many years. Survivors include his nephews; Warren Keister and Mark Keister of Jacksonville, Florida, nieces; Kay Coffelt , Tunnel Hill, Georgia, Jane Lucia, Ashburn, Virginia, Mary Baker, Tunnel Hill, Georgia , Andrea Pelfrey, Chattanooga, Tennessee and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings Morell Keister, Eloise Winkle, Winston Henderson, and Haley Keister. Visitation will be held 22, 2011 at 11am at y Hand Cox-Parker 1350 W. Fairbanks Ave., Winter Park, Florida with graveside service to follow at All Faiths in Casselberry, Florida.
