Obituary: Eva I. Abanto of 1132 SW 12th Terrace in Boca Raton, FL, passed away on 12, 2009. Born in Arequipa, Peru, on 20, 1940, Mrs. Abanto was employed for most of her working life as a health aide. She is survived by her loving husband Jose N. Abanto, her sons Walter Abanto and Alex Abanto, and daughter Jacqueline Abanto. A visitation is planned for 15, 2009 at the Babione , 1100 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL. EULOGY: It is so hard for us, my brothers and I to summarize our moms life, however it is a privilege to have her as such a remarkable mother with such strength and courage. Today we would like to celebrate her life, because this is how she wanted it to be so. Our mother, Eva Abanto, has had such an amazing, blessed life with monumental achievements. At the tender age of 16 she lost her father leaving her to play the role of a mother to her brothers and sisters, at such a young age. She took upon that task without hesitation. Here she demonstrates NOBILITY. Thank you mom for instilling this virtue in our lives. As a migrant from her native land of Peru, she came to a whole new world, U.S.A., with my loving father. Here she alone with my Father the lead the way for our aunts and uncles to follow. Here she demonstrates the virtue of COURAGE. We thank you mother for instilling this virtue in our lives. Our mother, Eva Irene Abanto, was not only a mother but a wonderful daughter, loyal sister, friend to many of us, cousin to some, aunt to many and grandmother to my girls. She never shyed away from any difficult tasks no matter what the situation. So selfless and always humble showing us to put others before ourselves. Here she demonstrates how to be HUMBLE, and showing us that giving is always better than receiving. Thank you mom for teaching us this important virtue which you embodied, humbleness. As a mother she exceeded all standards, preparing us for whatever life lessons had to be learned. We never had a desire for material things because we knew even as children, we had the best mother, always supportive, and always caring. Thank you mom for teaching us how to love by giving your love. Thank you for teaching us the virtue of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Finally, our mother was a wife. She endured a long lasting, loving marriage of 38 years. Teaching us that even in marriage there are good and bad times, ups and downs, sickness and health. She showed us the meaning of husband & wife both having prepared us for this next chapter in our lives. We will follow your example and try to make both of our parents proud. Here they show us the importance of LOYALTY. Thank you both, Mom and Dad, for one is not without the other. Her illness is not what we are going to be remembering, but how it will bring us closer as a family with UNITY & STRENGTH. Our moms memory will live strong in our hearts having taught us the true meaning of devotion and unconditional love to all of us and to remind us the importance of FAMILY.
