Obituary: Samuel Cole Aker, beloved son and brother, passed away peacefully on 4, 2015, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, following a long battle with a degenerative disease. Sam first blessed our lives when he was born on 19, 2001. He lived his entire life in Colorado Springs and attended Steele Elementary, North Middle School and Palmer High School. Sam enjoyed several activities and was most happy running free in the great outdoors of Colorado as a younger boy, and then later, therapeutic horseback riding. He was deeply loved, touched all who knew and helped care for him, and will be greatly missed. Sam taught us all about love, patience, and kindness. He is survived by his parents, Dean and Kathy Aker, siblings Lindsay and Harrison, grandfather Frederick William Aker, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who treasured him dearly. Visitation will be , 10, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00, at Swan-Law Directors, 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs. A celebration service will be held , 11, 2015 at 11:00 at the First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada Avenue. A reception will follow in the church Hospitality . In lieu of flowers we would be honored to have you support Pennies for Nicoll Foundation, Colorado Springs Therapeutic Riding , or Zachs Place, all local organizations that helped provide wonderful support to Sam. |

Obituary: 31, 1932 - 30, 2011. Resident of Northglenn, CO. Al passed away peacefully at North Suburban Medical in Northglenn, CO on 30, 2011 at 11:11 AM. Al was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He was a proud father of five and had tons of grandchildren. He was one of seven born to the late Govanina and Anthony Aitola and was the beloved husband of Virginia Aitola (Jeannie) for 41 years. Al will forever be remembered by his beloved children Anthony Aitola, Valarie Kennedy, Debbie Tuch, Randy Cabral, and Michele Moya; treasured Grandchildren Jennifer, Tiffany, Anthony, Jr., Angalina, Estee, Rebecca, Savannah, Farrah, Rachell, and Ashley; and 12 Great Grandchildren; along with countless other nieces, nephews, family and friends who were blessed to know him. Al had one of the most interesting lives. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY and lived a crazy young life in Brooklyn. He entered the Army in 1953 and served four years in the Armed Forces. He explored a lot of places and made lots of memories for us to look back on. He was honorably discharged in 1957. Al loved to be going; he could never sit still. He was always shopping or fixing stuff. When Al entered a room, he was always the life of the party whether he was talking crap to us or giving comfort to people. He was the type of person that once you met him, you could never forget him. He loved to be with his family, cooking, talking and spending time together. Al was very hard to take when he would speak because everyone always thought he was being mean. But it wasn that at all. He was raised in an Italian family and from that he learned a lot of values and respect. He tried to instill those values in others. Al maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
