Obituary: Lester Lee Buddy Pyle, Jr., 82 of El Dorado-Smackover, passed away , 14, 2014, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born 9, 1931, to Lester Lee Pyle Sr. and Bessie Cochran Pyle in Emerson, AR. He graduated from Wentworth Military in Lexington, Missouri, also attended University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and Southern State . He was a business owner and private pilot. He retired as a pilot for the Arkansas State Forestry Service. He is preceded in death by his wife Martha Kennedy Pyle, parents, sister Dorothy Lee Benson, and nephew Ralph Lee Benson. He is survived by his wife, Jaunita C. Pyle of Smackover; two daughters, Leslie Kennerly (Mike) of Lufkin, TX, Laura Smith (Sid) of Hattiesburg, MS; step-daughter, Sheri Neely (Ronny) of El Dorado; five grandchildren, Mandy Bonner Camp (Adam) and Rusty Bonner (Alexia) both of Lufkin, TX, Riley Smith (Kolyn) of Picayune, MS, Tiffany Neely and Tabatha Bledsoe (Zach) both of Smackover; five great grandchildren, Chloe and Jace Camp, Mooney Smith, Kasynn Neely, Jonsie Bledsoe; nephews, John S. Benson, Jr. (Andrea), Stone S. Benson, William Lee Benson of El Dorado; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers are John S. Benson, Jr., Stone S. Benson, William Lee Benson, Adam Camp, Steve Ellis, and Darryl Minor. Visitation was held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. , 16, 2014, at Youngs Directors. service will be at 2:00 , 17, 2014, in Youngs Chapel with Rev. Vaughn Blue officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the directions of Youngs Directors. Obituary: Charles Robert Pyle Sr., 93, passed away on 1, 2017, at a hospital in Bentonville, Arkansas, after a brief illness. He was a resident at Highlands of NWA Rehab and in Rogers since , 2015 but his lifelong home was Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was born on May 31, 1923 in Clarion, Iowa to George W. and Sylvia (Iversen) Pyle. He graduated from Clarion High and attended a local junior college. He met and married Hope Magee in 1942 and they were married for 68 years before Hope passed away. Charles was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy as a radio technician for planes attached to aircraft carriers such as the USS Monterrey and the USS Saratoga. The technical education he received with the Navy at Texas A & M, later led him into his own business. He worked in early years in insurance sales and management, selling encyclopedias and then, started OMEGA COMMUNICATIONS in Cedar Rapids. His passions included family, fishing, gardening, and Bible study which led to the birth of Cedar Valley Bible Church becoming a reality. Charles and Hope loved their church family and serving and working there to help further the Gospel of Christ Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Hope, sibling James and Beverly, (infants) as well as Neil J. Pyle of Des Moines and Aletha Armatis of Lexington KY. He is survived by son, Charles R. Pyle Jr (Virginia) of Michigan , MI, and daughter, Jo Ellyn Bach (Robert Chip) of Bentonville AR. six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services were held at Cedar Valley Bible Church in Cedar Rapids at 10 a.m. on , Jan. 21st.
