Obituary: Rebecca Becky Ann Archer, 76, of Rogers , passed away May 5th, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on 3rd, 1934 in Gallipolis, Ohio to John Francis and Helen Pearl (Newman) Johnson. Becky was the loving wife of Clarence Arch Archer, whom she married on 1st, 1954 in Gallipolis. Becky and Arch recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. Becky was a longtime supporter of the Music and Arts Department of her high school, Gallia Academy High School , in Gallipolis, Ohio . While attending the academy she was responsible for writing the theme song for the class of 1951. graduating, she attended Ohio State University for two years. Becky was a Realtor for Coldwell Banker Realty in Texas . moving to Northwest Arkansas 30 years ago, she became very active in her community. She was a member of the Literary Guild, Walton Arts , Pinnacle Country Club, Ohio State University Alumni Association and the Barnes & Noble Book Review. In 2010, Becky was awarded Gallia Academy High School Alumni of the Year. Becky is known for her quote: Books are Windows to the World. This quote is engraved over the front door of her home, which houses over 7,000 books in the Archer Library, Est. 1954. She has read 99% of all these books. She was very passionate about education and the importance of literacy. She has helped her daughters and many others to achieve their educational goals. She is survived by her husband, Arch, and her four daughters, Jeri and Kevin Townsend of Spring, Texas, Sharon and Richard Hennigan of Marietta, Georgia, Barb and Arnie Fox, and Pam and Don Tolbert, all of Bentonville. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Megan Fox, Erin Hennigan, Kelly Fox, Julie Townsend, Kyle Townsend, Becca Tolbert, and Ellie Tolbert, and her sister, Roberta and James Roush of Gallipolis , Ohio . Her funeral will be held at 11:00 am, , May 11th in the chapel at Callison-Lough , 605 W. Central Ave., Bentonville, with burial to follow at Bentonville City . Visitation will be from 5 until 7 pm. Obituary: Larry T. Archer, 68, of Hot Springs, passed from this life on , 16. Larry was born in Hot Springs to the late James and Ruth Archer on 28, 1947. He was a very talented hairdresser, working in Hot Springs until moving to Houston where he continued his profession until an accident caused him to retire. Then he donated his time to several non-profit organizations, using his considerable talents and personality to help others. Larry is survived by a sister Jean Young; aunt Janice Archer; nieces, Alicia and David Bryant, Dana and Brian Rogers, and Sheri Wingo; nephews, Gary and Craig Archer. He also leaves behind his close childhood friends, Ann Smith, Wanda Harris, Hoyte and Linda Reynalds, Linda Ruth and Gordan Pate. Obituary: Janice S. Archer, 87, of Little Rock went to Glory on May 15, 2015, with her beloved children by her side. She was welcomed into Christs Kingdom by her husband of almost 60 years, James D. Archer Sr., her parents Junius and Juddie Wheeler Smith, brother James, and a host of family and friends who went on before her. Left on this earth to cherish her memory is her daughter Nancy Archer Clark and husband Ron of Frisco, Texas, son James D. Archer Jr. and wife Faye of Little Rock, brother John (Hilda) of Fordyce, grandchildren Andrew Clark (Angela) of Texarkana, TX, Matthew Clark (Jamie) of Benton, Amber Althoff (Steven) of North Little Rock, Jeffery Clark (Jenn) of St. Louis, MO, and Rachel Brewer (Cole) of North Little Rock, as well as four great granddaughters, nine great grandsons, and a host of family and friends. Jan loved the Lord and it was in His service that she selflessly and without ceasing gave back to her family, her church, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. During her years with the DAVA, she served as state commander and National Second Vice Commander and was in line to be National Commander before having to give up her post to care for her ailing beloved Jim. Known for her quilting, she was always working on a new quilt for the DAV and could be found quietly volunteering at the VA Hospital or Immanuel Baptist, her church of 50+ years. A service honoring Jans life will be held , May 18, 2015 at 2PM at Prosperity Baptist Church, Ramsey, AR. Visitation will be from 1PM until service time.
