Obituary: Ola Zapotoczny, 75, of Weirton, WV, passed away , 20, 2015 in the Acuity Specialty Hospital, Weirton. She was born 2, 1940 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph and Goldie Garett Stathakis. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Becky, brothers Manuel and Stevie Stathakis and sisters Maria Krupica and Dorothy Young. For over 35 years, Ola worked for Esquire Cleaners in both Weirton and Steubenville. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church and the PNA. Ola is survived by her husband Frank Zapotoczny of Weirton, whom she married 7, 1968; two sons George (Cheryl) Zapotoczny of King George, VA and John (Aidana) Zapotoczny of Weirton; two step-sons Frank (Rebecca) Zapotoczny of Massillon, OH, and Wayne Zapotoczny of Weirton; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Obituary: Rose Zannier Rose Ella Zannier, 94, of Smithtown, passed away on , 11, 2 017 at the Pierpont at Fairmont. She was born in Wyatt on 18, 1922 a daughter of the late Mike Sivnksty and Anna (Fultonovich) Sivnksty. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Philip J. Monell in 1956 and her second husband, Ray Zannier in 2004. Rose was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and baker. She enjoyed holidays and special gatherings with her large loving family. She was a great storyteller. One of her favorite pastimes was being outdoors and walking in the woods at her home in Smithtown. She is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Sandra J. and Joseph P. Farcin, Jr. of Fairmont and Phyllis A. and Edward Branham of Avon, Ohio and two step daughters and their spouses, Anita and Dr. Scott Bolz of Ohio and Patricia and John Russell of New York.; four grandchildren and their spouses, Kim and Hank Middlemas of Fairmont, Lisa Ulm of Salisbury, Maryland, Kerrie and Dean Hudson of Michigan and Andrew and David McCann-Branham of Michigan; great grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew, Jonathan, Hope, Allie, Emma, Daniel, Audrey, Erin and Amelia and her great-great grandchildren, Logan, Abigail, Ella, Rosaline Jean. Also surviving is her sister, Marge Johnson of Oregon. In addition to her parents and husbands, Rose was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Norma Helesko, Kitty Masciano, Helen Baird, Evelyn Yanego, Lillian Flenner, Harry Sivnksty, Mike Sivnksty, Johnny Gurin, Frank Gurin,, Sr., Jim Gurin and Billie Gurin. Friends and family may call at the Carpenter & Ford , 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on from 1pm to 8pm and on from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will be at 1pm on , 14, 2017 at the funeral home with Deacon David Lester officiating. Interment will be private. Obituary: Billy J. Zanieski, 69, of Weirton, passed away , 22, 2016 in the Weirton Medical . He was born 16, 1946 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Stanley and Stella Sudol Zanieski. A teacher for 39 years, Mr. Zanieski served 32 years for the Hancock School System and seven years at Madonna High School. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Church and the Holy Name Society. He had a passion for sports, having played football for Syracuse University and was a long time football coach for both Weir High and Madonna. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He served as Chairman of the Human Rights Commission and was a member of the Democratic Executive Committee and the Syracuse Football Lettermans Club. Mr. Zanieski was a former member of the Weirton City Council and served in the United States Marine Corps. Billy is survived by his sons David and Steven Zanieski; brother Stanley (Rose Mary) Zanieski all of Weirton; sister Victoria (James) Kamppi of Ladys Island, SC and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick , 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am at Sacred Heart of Mary Church with the Reverend Father Anthony G. Thurston officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee where Military Services will be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard.
