Obituary: Alison Rose Zugelder was born on 1, 1989 in Newport Beach, California to Paul & Chris Zugelder and passed away on 24, 2017. Alison had endured several years of poor health, chronic pain, and endured multiple medical treatments due to an autoimmune disorder. In addition to her parents she is survived by her brother John Joseph Zugelder, his wife Erin Sanderson and niece Cecelia Grace Zugelder of Sydney Australia, sister Lindsey Jo Zugelder and Grandmother Joan Sanborn of New Carlisle Ohio. She has left behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who live all across the United States. Alison Rose attended many schools including Saint Marks Catholic school of Plano, Saint Paul's Catholic school of Richardson, and Ursuline Academy in Dallas. She graduated from John Paul II high school, Plano, TX in 2008 where she was a member of their second graduating class. She graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in English, A Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology with minors in Gender Diversity Studies and Physical Therapy. She had worked hard to become a Physical Therapist but her health failed her before she was able to attend Graduate School. She had many interests as a child, adolescent, and young woman. These included swimming, Destination Imagination, Girl Scouts, being an Altar server, volleyball, cheer, softball, choir and socializing with a wide circle of friends and family. She was a loving person who was always willing to help others and was passionate about every cause she chose to support. She was preceded in death by grandparents Jack Zugelder, Frieda Zugelder, Carroll Sanborn, and dear friend Colin Bodensteiner. Special thanks go out to Alison's friend Heather Gaddis-Leeper who spent countless hours helping Alison navigate the last twelve months. In addition we want to thank her core medical team for the care and respect they always showed Alison. Mass 1pm , 7, 2017 at St Marks Catholic Church, Plano, TX. Obituary: Herman M. Zuercher, born 3, 1906 passed away 30, 2001, at the age of 95. He was the oldest of four children born to a Schaper and Martin Zuercher. He graduated from Webber Law School in 1928, was a practicing attorney in San Antonio for 60 years, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a Life member of the Turner Club. Mr. Zuercher was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Hendrix-Schomer, his grandson, Rodney R. Zuercher, Jr., and mother of his sons, Alva L. Maurer Zuercher. He is survived by his wife, Sara E. Zuercher; sons and their spouses: Robert and Nancy Zuercher of Clarkston, WA; James and Carla Zuercher of Daingerfield, TX; and Rodney and Barbara Zuercher of San Antonio, TX. Other survivors include eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Josephine Stehling, Fredericksburg, TX and Gertrude Taylor, Denver, CO; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors on evening from 6 oclock to 8 oclock at Porter Loring. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Lourdes Lopez and her staff for their months of excellent and devoted care. |
