Obituary: On 15, 1947, God graced Christian and Hazel Reinecke with the presence of Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Zipprian and on 6, 2016, she was called back home. Cindy Zipprian was born in Beeville, Texas and lived all over South Texas before settling down in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1965. In of 1968 Cindy married Richard Zipprian, Sr. and had two sons, Richard (Ricky) Jr. and Ryan, whom were her world, but her greatest roll was when she became a Grandmother to her only biological Granddaughter, Frehley. If it wasn keeping score and rooting for the Southside Youth Football League or Southside Pony League Baseball, Cindy was a band booster where she held the position of Treasurer and volunteered for many activities. During this time she worked at countless locations, but mainly Grunwald Printing, Manpower Temporary Agency and St. Marks Lutheran Church. Throughout life, Cindy was a kind and loving soul. She would help anyone anyway that she could. She volunteered with different organizations and was active with her church and when her health didn allow her to be actively volunteering, she did what she could. If it wasn crocheting hats and scarfs for the homeless, she made donations to other organizations. There was not a soul that she didn touch in one way or another. Cindy was survived by two sons: Richard Earl (Amy) Zipprian, Jr. and Ryan Christopher Zipprian. Three Grandchildren: Jenner Ashton Spence, Raylynn Leigh Spence and Frehley Criss Zipprian. Nieces and Nephews: Trey, Bettye Lynn, James Allen, Mark and Burt Zipprian. Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, in-laws, her husband and a niece. Visitation will be , 18, 2016 at Most Precious Blood Church from 3:00-5:00 p.m. A Rosary will be held at Most Precious Blood Church, 3502 Saratoga Blvd., at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Most Precious Blood Church at 10:00 a.m. with graveside services following after at Seaside home. Obituary: Virgil Joseph Zipper was born at home in Muenster, Texas 91 years ago. He is the son of Joe Zipper and Josephine Ann Burger and the younger twin of Virginia. The family moved to Tishomingo, Oklahoma in 1929 because of the Great Depression and to Dallas, Texas in 1935 to escape the Dust Bowl. the move to Dallas, Virgil attended St. Edwards Catholic Grade School followed by St. Josephs Central High School where he played both football and baseball. graduation, in May 1941, he worked for the Dallas Morning News. On 7th, 1941 he was one of the first people in Dallas to learn about the attack on Pearl Harbor. As District Manager for news carriers, he was called in to help with the EXTRA edition. In 1942 Virgil joined the war effort by helping to build the VA Hospital in Temple, Texas; the Army base in Clovis, N.M.; the POW camp for German and Italian prisoners in Hereford, Texas; barracks at Fort Hood and the Air Force Base in San Antonio. Virgil was drafted in , 1942 and sent to Bart Field in Riverside, California for basic training after which he chose to be an aviation cadet in the Army Air Corp. He completed cadet training in Miami, Florida and was transferred to Marysville, Tennessee for flight training. Because of a shoulder injury, he was not allowed to fly fighter planes; but his exceptional skills were utilized to train other cadets. He attended Marysville for the 2 years he was stationed there. While working in Temple, he best thing that ever happened to me (Virgil) was when I met Cecilia. We went to a fair and a swimming pool. Virgil married Cecilia on 12, 1942 in a Catholic ceremony performed in the basement of the Baptist Church in Marysville, Tennessee. the war, Virgil and Cecilia moved back to Dallas, Texas where Virgil and his father, Joe, started Joe Zipper & Sons construction company. Virgil bought Joes share when he retired and continued with Zipper Construction until he own retirement in 1992. Virgil was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 799 starting in 1956. He served as Grand Knight, State Ceremonial Chairman, and District Deputy. He was recognized as Knight of the Month, Knight of the Year, and received an award for Family of the Year. Virgil was a long time parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He served in various capacities through the years and his favorite assignment was that of usher at the 11:30 Mass. Virgil was an avid hunter, sports fan and a champion poker player. He loved playing games, especially dominoes and Yahtzee. Virgil treasured his family and his proudest family moments included the family cruise to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary; the parties to celebrate their 25th, 50th and 60th anniversaries; family holiday gatherings and when they filled in the swimming pool. Virgil is survived by his wife, Cecilia; 11 daughters and 7 sons-in-law - Dorothy and Horst Schulz, Sandra Linex, Patricia Zipper, Judy Kramer/Young and Oscar Young, Connie and Chris Klein, Cindy and Dwayne Jiles, Shirley Scott, Peggy and Brian McNees, Deborah Wofford, Donna and Paul Lentz, Tracey and Tony Steger - 27 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren and his sister Juanita Weston of Fort Worth, Texas; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.. Obituary: In lieu of flowers, Cecilia requests donations to - St. Pius X School Maintenance/Upgrade Fund 3030 Gus Thomasson Road Dallas, TX 75228 Cecilia Dorothy Zaleski Zipper was born at her family home, a farm outside Granger, Texas in Williamson to Polish immigrant parents, Ignac John (Ike) and Rosalie Dykowski Zaleski. She attended Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Grade School and Granger High School where she played basketball, softball and volleyball for the Granger Lions. Cecilia spent the summer of 1942 with her sister, Lucille, an expert seamstress, in Temple, Texas. She found work and was able to buy the latest fabric for Lucille to sew into a new wardrobe for her Senior year in high school. This was the summer that Cecilia met, according to her, he Love of my life - Virgil Zipper. Virgil and his family rented a house from Cecilias sister, Lottie, and her husband. The two met at one of Lotties family dinners. Virgil asked Cecilia to go to the fair in town and then swimming. She agreed. In the fall, she returned to Granger and high school, Virgil was deployed to California for basic training and Florida for aviation cadet training by the Army Air Corps. As with any really good love story; when Virgil got his first leave, he headed straight for Granger to surprise Cecilia outside her school. She loved showing off her big, strong soldier boy and making the other girls jealous. first getting Ikes permission, Virgil proposed. She accepted and the rest is history. She graduated high school in May, 1943. graduation, she moved to Dallas, Texas to work at Sears Roebuck and save money for her transportation to Marysville, Tennessee and her wedding trousseau. Cecilia married Virgil on 12, 1943 in a Catholic ceremony performed in the basement of the Baptist Church in Marysville, Tennessee. She stayed in Marysville until Virgil was transferred to Oklahoma. Because she was pregnant, she returned to Dallas and lived with Virgils family until their daughter was born in , 1944. When Virgil was transferred to California in 1945, mother and daughter traveled from Texas to California on a very slow troop train to join him. While Virgil served his country, Cecilia worked in the San Pedro shipyards just like Rosie the Riveter. the war, Cecilia and Virgil moved back to Dallas, Texas. Cecilia began her career as a stay-at-home mom and gave birth to 10 more daughters. She attended all the girls school events and sports practices and games. She was the original Moms Taxi. At the age of 50, Cecilia proudly took a job outside her home and then decided to support Virgil by working with him at Zipper Construction. When the company office moved to their home, Cecilia took a job at St. Pius X Day while she continued as the secretary/bookkeeper for Zipper Construction until Virgil closed the company. Cecilia was a long time parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church where she was a member of the Womens Circle. She was an avid amateur and college sports fan and a champion Bingo player. Her family received the K of C Family of the Year Award and her all girls family was featured in Dallas and National newspapers 3 different times. Cecilia treasured her family and her proudest family moments were the birth of her 11 daughters and that she was able to stay with each daughter for two weeks following the birth of each of her grandchildren. Cecilia is survived by her 11 daughters and 7 sons-in-law - Dorothy and Horst Schulz, Sandra Linex, Patricia Zipper, Judy Kramer/Young and Oscar Young, Connie and Chris Klein, Cindy and Dwayne Jiles, Shirley Scott, Peggy and Brian McNees, Deborah Wofford, Donna and Paul Lentz, Tracey and Tony Steger - 37 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Cecilia was preceded in death by her beloved Virgil, her parents, Ike and Rosie Zaleski; brothers Raymunt, Joseph, James and Henry; sisters Lucille, Lottie and Carrie; nephew Eugene Zaleski and sons-in-law Ronald W Kramer and Benny R Linex. |

Obituary: Vivian Schwab Zipp, 83, of New Braunfels, passed away on , 20, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born to Bertha nee Flessner Schwab and Bruno J. Schwab in New Braunfels on 6, 1927. She married Norman Zipp on 8, 1949 at First Protestant Church in New Braunfels. She started her career at Randolph Air Force Base, then retired from Mission Valley Mills after 47 years as secretary. Upon retirement she spent as much time with her husband and 3 grandchildren as possible. She also worked many hours researching her family genealogy; collaborating in writing a book for both the Schwab and Zipp families. She was active in the Comal Genealogy Society where she served as Chairperson. She had a passion for preserving her family heritage. She leaves behind a loving extended family and many cherished friends. She is survived by son, Donald Zipp and wife Mellissa; grandchildren, Stephanie Zipp, Darren Zipp, and Travis Zipp; brother, Bruno Schwab; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Zipp; son, Dennis J. Zipp; brothers, Alex and Monroe Schwab; and sister, Melba Schlueter. Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM at Zoeller with the family present to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Services will be held 2:00 PM , 24, 2011 at First Protestant Church with Reverend Charles Van Natter. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
