Obituary: Paul Zarwulkoff passed away peacefully 6, 2016, in the comfort of a Memorial Hermann Hospice facility, after battling a lengthy illness. He was born on 21, 1927 in Sofia, Bulgaria to Stefan Zarwulkoff and Blaga Penewa Zarwulkoff. His father was a government prosecutor and respected judge. His mother was an author.

Paul left home when he was 19 years old to secure a better future for himself. He went to Austria where he earned a college degree in Chemistry. He then went to Australia with some friends and spent a year working there in a laboratory. He left Australia to seek his fortune in Germany where he secured a job with the American Library of Congress. He was a consultant on political climate in the countries that were impacted by World War II. While in Germany, he met the love of his life, Helma. were married in 1956.

When the job with the Library of Congress ended, they decided to immigrate to the United States in 1960.

In Houston, he created several businesses including: Capital Sales, a surplus goods store, and also operated The Old Munich Inn, which was a very popular restaurant in the mid 60’s and early 70’s. It was famous for its international fare.

Paul was always an entertainer and loved to tell jokes. He was a serious history buff and loved to talk anything from strategy to machinery used in wars. He was a wonderful father, husband and grandfather. He was generous to everyone and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed.

Paul is survived his wife, Helma Zarwulkoff; his son, Steve Zarwulkoff (wife Sandy); and two grandchildren, Alyssa and Ashton. He is also survived by a host of relatives in Ohio, Texas, Germany and Bulgaria. He is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Slatka Zarwulkoff Aneva.

Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family during a memorial service , 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm. at Forest Park Westheimer , 12800 Westheimer Rd. Houston, TX 77077.

Obituary: services for Eduardo (Eddie) Alfredo Zarruk, age 58, of The Woodlands will be held on , 15, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Deacon Ricardo Garcia officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to service time and interment in Garden Park will follow.
Eddie was born on 14, 1952 and passed away on 11, 2011 in Houston, Texas. He was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua. He moved to the U.S. to attend Louisiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and his MBA and MS in operations research. Eddie moved to Corpus Christi where he resided for 17 years and was an employee of AEP and CPL. He moved to The Woodlands where he lived for 10 years. He was most recently employed by ERCOT in Taylor, TX. He was also co-owner of Millers Black Belt Academy along with his wife, Sharon. Eddie became a naturalized citizen of the United States on 29, 1988.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Esperanza Zarruk; father-in-law, Mathias J. Schwartz; mother-in-law, Selma S. Schwartz; and brother-in-law, Allen J. Lehmann. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Sharon Schwartz Zarruk; sons, Christopher Edward and Stephen Andrew Zarruk; sister, Priscilla Heilemann and husband Frank; brother, Emilio Zarruk; and was the brother-in-law of Adrianne S. Lehmann, Mathias J. Schwartz, Jr., Dorothy S. Shelton and husband Dean and Edward W. Schwartz. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Many relatives and other friends in Nicaragua also mourn his passing.
The family would like to thank their extended Clearbend Place family and the students and parents of MBBA for their support during the past year. Thanks also go out to Dr. Pamela New, Cindy Masters, the staff of Main 4 SW, the NICU, the rest of the staff of The Methodist Hospital for their care of Eddie and also a special thank you to the staff at Genesis Personal for the loving care provided to Eddie and the exceptional care to our Eddie but was looked upon as part of our family. Forever we will be grateful for such wonderful people who took care of Eddie and became part of our lives.

Obituary: Bernard R. Zarosky Sr., 84, of Victoria passed away , 13, 2015. He was born 2, 1931 in Cameron, Texas to the late Cyril M. and Annie Cabron Zarosky. He was a farmer for over 65 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Zdansky Zarosky of Victoria; daughters, Joyce Heller and husband, Randy of Victoria, and Marilyn K. Obituary: Keith Emerson Zarker1924-2015Keith Emerson Zarker, age 91, passed away on 27, 2015 in Houston, Texas. He was born on May 13, 1924 to Ralph and Esther (Forsgren) Zarker in Topeka, Kansas. Keith enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving aboard the USS General Omar Bundy and USS Storm King, from 1943 to 1946, attending Washburn University and graduating from the University of Kansas in 1948 with an MS degree in Chemical Engineering.Keith's professional career was with Proctor and Gamble (1948-1955) and as an executive with Shell Oil until he retired in 1989 to start Kezar Consulting in the oil and gas industry along with grapefruit farming in the Valley. He was active with several local charities and served on the board of Pine Forest Country Club. His personal career though was his family.He married Marie Ann Drennan in 1953 with whom he raised 3 sons: Lawrence, Kenneth, and Douglas. By tent trailer they explored the Sierras and the Rockies; lived abroad in The Hague, Netherlands; relocated across the country to New Jersey; finally settling down in Houston where he was a loyal Scoutmaster to Troop 805 (1970-1976). He unexpectedly lost his sweet Marie to cancer in 1987. Life started anew in 1988 when Keith married the lively little lady from Yoakum, Mary Alice (Peters). Keith and Mary Alice enjoyed 27 years of world travel, children, grandchildren, golf, and friends. Keith leaves behind his wife, Mary Alice, their children Lawrence (Kelley), Ken (Denise), Doug (Cathy), Michael Nelson (Barbara), and Tammy Johnson (Mike), his sister Sharil Hunt, and grandchildren: Danny (Alex), Jeffrey (Brianna), Reid, Katylin, Kourtney, Clare, Andrew, Alex, and Ethan. Service for Mr. Zarker will take place on 4th at St. Cecilia Catholic Church located at 11720 Joan of Arc Dr. Houston, TX 77024 at 1pm immediately followed by an interment at Memorial Oaks .

Obituary: Michael M. Zarin passed away on 21, 2016 after a prolonged illness. He was born on 19, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York. Mike was the youngest of 4 children, and the only son of Sarah and Louis Zarin. He attended school in Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn . He was the first college graduate of his family. college, World War II began, and Mike joined the Army. He was trained as a Japanese interpreter, and stationed in India. the war was over, Mike returned to New York and began his long and successful career. He began as a salesman, and eventually became an executive for the RCA/Whirlpool in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
Shortly after returning from the war, he met and married Eleanor Ruffkess. had 2 children, David and Barbara. The family lived in New Jersey for many years. Mike and Ellie retired initially to Florida. moved to Houston to be close to their children and grandchildren. Together, they traveled to Mexico and were captivated by its beauty and culture. bought a home and lived in the Lake Chapala region for many years. Eventually, they relocated to Arizona and spent many happy years there. With advancing age and Eleanors health problems, they returned to Houston.
Mikes joy in life was spending time with family. He cherished his grandchildren, and was involved with so many of their activities. He was able to watch his grandchildren graduate from HS, college and graduate school. He danced at all of their weddings and rejoiced when great-grandchildren came along.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor, and his sisters, Rose and Esther. His sister, Lillian passed away 36 hours after Michael at the age of 108!
He is survived by his son, David Zarin, M.D. and his wife Arlene; daughter, Barbara Zarin Silverman, and her husband Rick Silverman, Ph.D.; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Zarin, M.D. and his wife Tanaz Ferzandi Zarin, M.D., Gregory Zarin, Esq. and his wife Dessi, Bradley Zarin, Esq. and his wife Michele, and Adam Silverman and his wife Kristin. His great-grandchildren are Sohrab and Tehmina, Isaac and Carolina, and Noah.
The final two years of his life were spent at The Solana at the Vintage. He was cared for in a loving and respectful manner. The family wants to thank all of the caregivers for all they did for Mike.
There will be private celebration of Michaels life for family members.
