Obituary: Arthur Zimmerman, 87 of r went to be with the Lord on , 8, 2015 at Allegiance in Jackson, Michigan. He was born 12, 1927 to Carl and Ruth (Morey) Zimmerman in Detroit, Michigan. His family came back to Albion when he was a young boy. finishing high school he enlisted into the U. S. Navy serving during WWII where he left with an honorable discharge. Arthur then started working for Union Steel Products Plant in Albion, for more than 40 years as Manufacturing Supervisor Manger. Arthur was a lifetime member of the Albion Elks Lodge #1798. Arthur loved All sports, ice fishing and playing baseball on the Albion City league, the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions attending all games possible. Art loved being on the golf course at Tomac Woods in Albion. He worked for a number of years at Tomac Woods Golf Course along with playing lots of golf and winning many championships and trophies in outings. He was a champ at golf and considered everyone at Tomac Woods his family and they all respected him and loved him as a family member. It was a great joy and lots of happiness throughout his life playing golf. Arthur loved to laugh and joke and was well respected and loved by all of his friends. Arthur is survived by: Love of His Life- Ardell Osborne and her family Sons- Randy Zimmerman, Jeffrey Zimmerman and Steven Zimmerman Brother- Anthony Roggenbuk Sister- Virginia Ludtke (6) Grandchildren (13) Great Grandchildren and one on the way Service will be , 14, 2015 at 1:30PM at the J. Kevin Tidd , 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Father Joe Gray officiating. Entombment will follow at Albion Memory Gardens. Obituary: Alvin Al R. Zimmerman, age 92, of Ithaca, MI passed away , 7, 2015 at his home. Services will be held at Smith Family s Ithaca, Michigan on , 11, 2015 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Dave Perry officiating. Burial will take place at Ridgelawn Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held on , 10, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Alvin was born in Hamilton Township, Gratiot , Michigan on 23, 1923, the son of Wilson Robert and Stella (Kesling) Zimmerman. On 10, 1944 he married Lillian Curtis in Sickles, Michigan. Al was a lifelong farmer in Emerson Township. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending many winters in Apache Junction, AZ. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. He is survived by his wife Lillian Zimmerman, children; Robert and Mary Zimmerman of Breckenridge, MI, James and Mary Ann Zimmerman of Ashley, MI, Rosemary and Mike Bailey of Scottsdale, AZ, 6 grandchildren; Kelli and Matt Schmitz of Breckenridge, MI, Molly and Chad Snyder of Breckenridge, MI, Matt and Amanda Zimmerman of Ashley, MI, Brooke and Jason Colvin of Phoenix, AZ, Maggie and Dan Moffett of Breckenridge, MI, Brent Bailey of Los Angeles, CA, 12 great grandchildren and his sister Elsie and Gerald Westall of Ithaca, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 5 sisters. Memorials may be made to Gratiot Commission on Aging.
