Obituary: Nancy J. Ziegler, nee Bruce, 71, of OFallon, Ill., born 29, 1939, in Elkhorn, Wis., died , 30, 2011, at Olympia Medical in Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Ziegler was retired from York Town Golf Course after more than 27 years of service and prior to that she worked the front counter at St. Clair Bowl. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing cards. Nancy was a founder of the OFallon Youth Opportunity . She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Winifred "Jayne," nee Wilder, Bruce, and a brother, Leroy Bruce. Surviving are her husband, Darrel Ziegler; two sons, Michael (Lori) Ziegler of Breese, Ill., and Scott (Elena) Stern of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Dawn (Stephan) Wolfert of Los Angeles, Calif., Julie Stern of Sedona, Ariz., and Diane Christian of Wisconsin; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Bill (Maureen) Bruce and John (Lynn) Bruce, two sisters, Pat (Charles) Boehmen and Dorothy Achilli, a sister-in-law, Linda Bruce; as well as many, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorials are appreciated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the American Diabetes Association . Condolences may be made online at www.lakeviewfuneralhm.com.
