Obituary: Linda Lee Zimmerman, 59, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on , 17, 2017. Born 2, 1958, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Annalee Ward and the late Richard K. Ward. She is survived by her mother and sister, Laura Kraemer of Cincinnati, Ohio, and brother Ken Ward. She is also survived by her husband of 37 years, Dennis Wayne Zimmerman; one daughter, Angela Marie Barton and husband, Brent Barton; four sons, Adam Glenn Zimmerman and wife, Rebekah Lynn Zimmerman, Daniel Wayne Zimmerman and wife, Kacee Lyn Zimmerman, Brian Dennis Zimmerman, and Christopher Ward Zimmerman; and four grandchildren, Avery Lee Zimmerman, Adalyn Rose Zimmerman, Clinton Wyatt Barton , McKinley Brooke Zimmerman. Linda devoted her life to her family and children. She was very involved in her childrens lives, being a girl scout troop leader and room mom for their classrooms. She was a bundle of life and would brighten the day of anyone she talked to, from her neighbors to the convenience store clerks. She loved to read, complete crossword puzzles, and to challenge her mind. She also loved deep conversations about spirituality and the unknown. Her sense of humor was her best quality; she knew how to lighten any tough situation with a laugh and then letting us know it would all be okay. The family will receive friends and family for the visitation and funeral. The visitation service will be conducted at 6:00 PM , 23rd at Roswell in Roswell, Ga. The funeral procession will take place at 11:00 AM on , 24th. |

Obituary: Jacqueline Micheline Decayeux Zimmerman, 86, a native of Paris France and resident of Atlanta Georgia, passed away , 23, 2015. She was born 14, 1928 and moved to the United States in 1959. She was an active member in her community and attended OLA Catholic Church in Georgia. She lived in Louisiana for 30 years and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the Casino. She was preceded in death by her mother Therese Decayeux and two grandsons Jason and Joshua Hackney. She is survived by two daughters Sharon Eckerle and husband Ronald of Hemphill, Texas; Renee Raines and husband Steve of Loranger, Louisiana; five sons Pat Zimmerman of Erie, Pennsylvania; Terry, David and Rick Zimmerman of Gretna, Louisiana; Ron Zimmerman and wife Robin of Atlanta, Georgia. Other survivors include her grandchildren Jennifer Perry, Johnathan Perry and wife Krystle, Monyon Beckemeyer and husband Fred, Cassandra Eckerle, Danny Verdin; great grandchildren Taylor and Tessa Hackney, Josey and Emma Beckemeyer, Kolby Lewis, Paxton, Kynzie and Parker Perry; Amelia and Sophie Verdin. She is also survived by a host of friends and family. Visitation will be 9:00 am to 11:00 am on , 26th at Falgout in Raceland, Louisiana. Obituary: Frances Arnold Barrett Zimmerman, age 91, died May 31, 2010, at her home in Columbus. Mrs. Zimmerman was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on Nov. 14, 1918, the elder daughter of Louise Phinizy (Broyles) and Thomas Barrett, Jr. She and her mother lived with her maternal grandparents until her fathers return on Christmas Eve 1919 from service with the U.S. armed forces in France during World War I. Soon thereafter, they returned to a, where she was the sixth generation of the Thomas Barrett family. Her father later served as Mayor of a and was a co-founder of the a National Golf Club in 1931. Mrs. Zimmerman was educated at Montrose School for Girls in Montrose, Pennsylvania, Ridgelands in Wimbledon, England, and Wheaton in Wheaton, Illinois. She and her husband, William Hugh Zimmerman, a native of a, were married 61 years before his death in Columbus on Dec. 22, 2000. The family moved from a to Columbus in 1949 and joined First Presbyterian Church, where Mrs. Zimmerman was a past president of the Women of the Church. The Historic Columbus Foundation chose her as its Honored Lady at the 2000 Heritage Ball. A member of the National Society of Colonial Dames of America in the State of Georgia, she served as Town Chairman in Columbus, and during her years in a was a member of the State Board of Regents. She was also a former member of the Womans Reading Club, the Cape Jasmine Garden Club, and The Junior League of Columbus, and was a Trustee of The Historic Columbus Foundation. Mrs. Zimmerman, who was called Heart by her grandchildren and their friends, was the gracious matriarch of her extended family. She was known for her generosity to many Christian causes and to her friends, and her Southern heritage and manners endeared her to all who knew and loved her. Survivors are her three daughters and two sons-in-law: Louise Z. Austell of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and twins Catherine Z. and W. Reynolds Bickerstaff of Columbus, and Helena Z. and John M. Jones, Jr., of Greeneville, Tennessee; four grandchildren and their spouses: Frances A. and Harold B. Toby Wells Jr., of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Elizabeth A. and Dr. West Allen of Jonesboro, Arkansas, William Taylor Bickerstaff and wife Ashley of Bozeman, Montana, and Walker Reynolds Bickerstaff, Jr., and wife Sarah of Columbus; and seven great-grandchildren: Helena Broyles Allen and William Zimmerman Allen of Jonesboro, Lydia Louise Wells and Elizabeth Grace Wells of Pinehurst, Anne Catherine Bickerstaff and David Barrett Bickerstaff of Bozeman, and Sarah Walden Bickerstaff of Columbus. She was predeceased by a sister, Bertha B. Garrett, and a son-in-law, Edward C. Austell. The family would like to express special appreciation and gratitude to Catherine Sanders and Llorata and Tamara Handia, who honorably cared for Mrs. Zimmerman over several years, as well as Rovonda Torian, Tanyetta Mullins, Helen Herbert and Columbus Hospice. A private interment will be held at Fort Mitchell , Fort Mitchell, Alabama. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church on , 4th at 2:00, and the family will greet friends in the Johnson following the service.
