Obituary: Robert J. Bob Zapora, 83, of Naples died 13, 2015 after a long struggle with Parkinsons disease. Born and raised in PA, Bob was the son of the late Joseph and Julia Wydotis Zapora. He graduated from Albright in Redding, PA and held a Masters in Business Management. Bob worked as a chemist and retired as a manager from DuPont after 38 years of service. He married the former Jean Pendle after meeting her on a summer vacation; they celebrated 60 years of love and life together. Year round sunny weather and golf beckoned so after fifteen years as seasonal residents, Bob and Jean moved to Naples permanently in 2003. Bob was well known as someone you could count on. He was happy to be able to spend time with friends and was devoted to his church. Survived by his beloved wife, Jean; son, Steven Zapora of Ft. Myers, FL; grandson, Dr. Jeffrey Alan Zapora of Lehigh, PA; and brother, Joseph Zapora of Summerton, FL he will. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his grandson, David. The family will receive visitors on , 16th, 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fuller , 4735 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112. The funeral mass will be held , 17th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrius Orthodox Church, 140 Price Street, Naples, FL 34113. Final committal will be at Naples Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bobs memory may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing , PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018 or to St. Demetrius Orthodox Church. |
