Obituary: Michael Ryan Yuscavitch, of Somers, loving father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend passed away into the Arms of the Angels on 11, 2015. Born in Hartford, Michael was brought up in Windsor Locks and graduated from Windsor Locks High School. He worked in construction for most of his adult life. He leaves behind his devoted and loving mother, Nanci Lawlor-Dion and her fiancé, David A. Deadder. The light of his life, his beautiful daughter, Emilie A. Yuscavitch whom he cherished very much. Brothers Jonathan J. Dion and his fiancé, Samantha Smith, their new son, his nephew, Killian Jace Dion of Vernon; brother Dennis Yuscavitch and his wife, Sharon of Bayonne, New Jersey and their three children, Conlin, Alexa, and Quinn; sister Tara Munroe of Somers and her children, Dylan, Collin, and Alexander. His grandparents Robert and Maureen Lawlor of Hampton, and Charles and Irene Yuscavitch of Poquonock. Several aunts and uncles, nieces, and nephews. His friends Louis Cook, James Anelo, Jeffrey Moson of Windsor Locks, David Candella of Suffield, Jennifer Mackie, Rose Ravelin, Amand Soloway and many, many others. He attended Branford Hall in Windsor in 2005 majoring in Personal Training, but was forced to drop out due to a diagnosis of brain cancer. He spent the next three years fighting the disease and had finally reached remission. He then matriculated into Asnuntuck Community where his focus was on Social Services with a minor in Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counseling. He was to graduate with High Honors on May 18th, 2015. Michael also had a second family that was very important to him and that was the members of the AA and NA communities. He found a sanctuary within those rooms. He found solace and a safe place to share his stories with others without judgment. He worked tirelessly on his 12-step program and strove to abide by it every day. He was also a mentor to others. He volunteered at ADRC, a rehabilitation center in Hartford with the hope that he could help others with their issues. He volunteered at the Loaves and Fishes soup kitchen in Enfield. He did the Multiple Sclerosis walk every year to help raise money for this important cause while secretly battling his own disease. He also worked at St. Patricks Church on s. Michael was a very spiritual person and practiced meditation and mindfulness. Michael worked extremely hard to achieve his goal of receiving his Associates Degree, mostly so he could help people with addictions. He was a loving, generous, kind person who should be an example to others. Michael, I love you so much and I am very proud of you. I don know how I will live without your sense of humor and your giving soul. Rest now. You have done the work. A Memorial Mass will be held on , 17, 2015 at 10 AM directly at St. Patricks Church, 64 Pearl Street, Enfield. Burial will be private. Carmon of Windsor is caring for the arrangements. Obituary: Irene (Plunge) Yuscavitch, 92, of the Poquonock section of Windsor, passed away , 13, 2016, holding hands with her beloved husband of 68 years, Chuck. Born in the Rainbow section of Windsor, Rene, as she was affectionately known, was a lifelong resident of Poquonock and graduated from John Fitch High School in 1941. A lifelong communicant of St. Joseph Church, she was a member of the church choir for many years as she loved music and singing. She also sang in local choruses and singing groups here and in Port St. Lucie, FL where they spent many winters. In Florida, she and Chuck entertained family and friends as her door was always open. Rene was employed by the Stevens Paper Mill and retired from Combustion Engineering in 1988. Active and vibrant, she also enjoyed dancing, golf, swimming, bowling, and playing cards. She was also a member of the St. Casmirs Lithuanian Society Womans Auxiliary. Besides her husband Chuck; she leaves a son Bruce and his wife Maureen of Windsor Locks; a daughter Nancy Justin and her husband Thomas of Sparta, NJ; an adopted daughter, Judith Dryer; a sister Frances Garvan of Manchester; 6 grandchildren Michael, Carrie (Anthony) and Laura Justin ( Gordon), Dennis (Sharon) Yuscavitch, and Tara Munroe (Robert), and Erica Yuscavitch; 7 great grandchildren Dylan, Colin, and Alex Munroe, Emilie, Conlin, Alexa, and Quinn Yuscavitch; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Michael and grandson Michael Ryan and siblings Mildred Plunge, Mary Miskavitch, Anne Viewager, Alexander, Michael, and Edward Plunge. She will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Her family will receive friends , 17, 2016 from 3-6 pm at the Carmon Poquonock , 1816 Poquonock Ave. Poquonock section of Windsor.
