Obituary: Brigadier General, USA (Ret.) On , 2, 2015, BG Robert S. Young died at the age of 90 in Annandale, VA. Robert was born in Macon, GA, in 1925; he enlisted in the Army as an infantry private in 1943 and remained on active duty for 38 years. He served in 3 wars and retired at the rank of Brigadier General in 1982. During his honorable military service, Robert was awarded a Purple Heart in the Battle of the Bulge. He earned a Doctorate of Business Administration from George Washington University while still on active duty. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 68 years, Rose E. Young (Annandale), son Steve Young (Annandale), daughter Theresa Meadows (Leavenworth), son-in-law Plaudy Meadows (Leavenworth) and granddaughter, Olivia Meadows (St. Louis). Viewing will be held for family and friends at Demaine at 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA, on , 12 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Services will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church on , 13, at 12 pm at 7401 St. Michaels Lane, Annandale, VA. Roberts Military funeral with honors will be held at Arlington National at a date yet to be determined. Obituary: YOUNG, Rita Stultz, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 20, 2017. Rita was born in Roanoke, Va. on 29, 1940, to her parents, Alfred Edgar Stultz and Gladys Robertson Stultz. Rita leaves behind a loving devoted husband, William F. Young Sr.; and their three children, William F. Young II, Anthony L. Young, Teresa E. Young; nine grandchildren; and loving sister, Frieda Stout. Rita graduated 1958 from Warwick High School, Newport News, Va. Rita and Bill married 7, 1959, in an Army Chapel at Fort Eustis, Va. Rita fulfilled one of her dreams to own her own business and helping others. In 1974, she began as an independent contractor and advanced to Senior Vice President with one of the largest financial services companies in North America.
