Obituary: Patsy Ann Patterson Youngblood, age 74, passed away on 20, 2013, in San Antonio where she has resided since 1998. Patsy was born May 7, 1939 in Austin, Texas to Bruce and Ann Pfau Patterson. She was raised by her loving Grandmother Beulah Patterson who lost her husband, Patsys grandfather Lige Patterson, shortly after she was born. She met her lifelong best friend Avalon Fiedler Burrows in 2nd grade and together they experienced all the fun of growing up in Austin in the 50s. Her first car was a red 57 Chevy convertible and also in 1957 she graduated from Travis High School. She met Wayne Richard Youngblood of Cypress Mill, TX at the Skyline Club on North Lamar. married and raised 3 children. She always said raising her kids was the greatest joy of her life. Her family of 5 was very close, always involved in school activities and non-stop fun in the summertime. moved to Dripping Springs in 1976 where Richard and Renee attended school. In 1998 she moved to San Antonio after reconnecting with her mother to help care for her. Shortly thereafter she began what she called her new teenage years. She then met her loving partner Tom Abbott of San Antonio and they remained nearly inseparable until her death. She is survived by her former husband Wayne with whom she always remained friends; her daughter Kathy Youngblood of Austin; son Wayne Richard Youngblood, Jr. and wife Nadine, grandsons Ryan and Jack Youngblood, all of Round Rock; and E. Obituary: Services for Norma Youngblood, 95, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 7, 2016 in the Gipson Chapel with Bro. Charles Roberts, officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington in Huntington, TX. Mrs. Youngblood was born 14, 1921 in Angelina to the late Georgia (Bethard) and Phillip Turner Sharp, TC, Sharp, Sr. She passed away at her Lufkin residence on 5, 2016. Mrs. Youngblood was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved her church family. Mrs. Youngblood retired as a cashier at Safeway Grocery. Survivors include granddaughter, Monica and John McCoy of Station, TX; great-grandchildren, Chase and Alyssa McCoy; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Youngblood; children, Dale Youngblood and Arlene Martin; 3 brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers will be John McCoy, Chase McCoy, Randy Lunley, Carl Lunley and Ronnie Lusk. The family offers special thanks to Pat Whittington and her family for the hospitality extended to Norma, as well as her caregivers: Mary, Nora, Tonya, Connie, Betty, Kristen, Janice and Marsha. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Obituary: YOUNGBLOOD, Martha Nell Wallace Martha Nell Wallace Youngblood was born on 24, 1922, in Wheelock, Texas, to Hugh Henry and Verda Christine Wallace. She passed away in Dallas, Texas, on 11, 2017. Martha grew up in Hearne, Texas, where she met and married William Clarence Youngblood. were married for 62 years until his death on 24, 2004. Together they had a beautiful daughter, Olivia Ann, who was the light of their lives. Martha was a woman of strong faith, a devoted wife and beloved mother. During Clarence's extended illness, Martha was a faithful caregiver who demonstrated great strength, devotion and enduring love. She was often described as one of the last true southern ladies because of the care and thoughtfulness she showed to all who knew her. Martha is preceded in death by her husband, William Clarence Youngblood, and brothers Zane Grey Wallace, Arnold Wallace and Billy John Wallace. She is survived by her daughter, Olivia Ann Youngblood, sister-in-law Elizabeth Wallace, niece Helen Elaine Frazier (Lex), and nephew Zane Edward Wallace (Virginia). The family would like to express their appreciation to all of Martha's doctors, friends and neighbors for their ongoing love and support. Dannel in Sherman Texas is handling the arrangements. The service celebrating Martha's life will be held at Sparkman-Hillcrest in Dallas, Texas, at 12:00 noon on , 14, 2017. The family will host a reception at the funeral home at 11:00 am. The Rev. Neil G. Cazares-Thomas of the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas will officiate. |
