Obituary: Phillip B Terry Yates Jr., 69, of Spring Branch, TX, died unexpectedly in a car accident on , 28th 2015 in Bulverde, TX, Terry was born 5th, 1946 in Dayton, TN. He was the son of Phillip B. Yates, Sr. and Sarah Ruth (Howard) Yates. He will be remembered by his daughters, Lori N Adkins (Yates) and Lisa C Kerr-Yates, Grandsons Andrew M. Adkins and Michael D. Green, Great Grandsons Liam and Jace Adkins, as well as his extended family members and many close friends. He also left behind his beloved Doberman, Beaudy, who was always with him. He was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Class of 64. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Once a light weight boxing champion, he took pride in staying fit. He loved to play sports, especially baseball. He always stayed active and lived life to the fullest .He moved to Texas in the early 80s and made a home While in Texas he began his own air purification equipment business and ran the business until his retirement. He loved his Wranglers and Ostrich Skin Boots and Country and Western dancing. He loved his girls and would do anything he could for them. He was preceded in death by his Mom, Dad and little sister Clarice. A Memorial Service was held in San Antonio, TX. His daughters returned to Michigan with his remains and will be traveling to Dayton, Tennessee where he will be buried next to his family in the family plot. |

Obituary: Robert E. Bob Yates, Jr., age 74, passed away on , 16, 2013 at his residence in Spring Branch, TX. He was born on 20, 1938, in Montpelier, VT, to parents Robert and Beatrice Yates. Bob was an original Boston Patriot, (now known as the New England Patriots); and played from 1960 to 1965 as an Offensive Lineman and Kicker. In 1959, he graduated from Syracuse University where he played on their National Championship Football team. Bob was named First Team All American and later honored as one of the Forty Four Players of the Century at Syracuse. He was recently inducted into the Vermont Sports Hall of Fame. Bob coached and taught for 34 years, at various Collegiate and High Schools in MA and VT. He is survived by his wife, Fay Farrar Yates; sons, Scott Yates, wife Sharon and sons: Conor and Tory; Tim Yates; Steven Yates, wife Jessika and son Orion; and additional special family: daughters, Ruth Kupcha and children, Anna and Luke; Rena Baisden and husband Dr. Clint Baisden; Wendy McCurdy, husband Ron and sons, Matthew, Marshall, and Will; sister, Nancy Anderson; and brother, Paul Anderson.. Obituary: Robert Wayne Yates went to be with the Lord on 4, 2010. He was born on 26, 1932 in Waldron, Arkansas to Ted and Amy Yates. He moved to Houston in 1951, and then proudly served the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 56 years, Doris Budler Yates and five children: Brenda Bright and husband David, Robbie Yates and wife Peggy, both of Pasadena, Kathy Evans and husband Charlie, Patty Steinke and husband David, both of Friendswood and John Yates of Conroe. Affectionately known as Grandpa, Robert leaves grandchildren, Michael Bright and wife Crystal, Amy Yanez and husband Jared, both of La Porte, Crystal Evans, Jarrett Branch and Caitlin Yates of Pasadena, CJ Evans, Wayne and Ian Steinke and Karol Baker of Friendswood. Robert also leaves great grandchildren, Taylor and Andrew Bright, Alyssa and Haley Yanez of La Porte and Channing Baker of Friendswood. He will be missed by his brothers and sister, Edward Yates and wife Sharon of Waldron, Arkansas, Phillip Yates and wife Rosemary of Friendswood, Tina Yates of Sacramento and business partner and nephew, Gerald (Bubba) Yates of Seabrook. Robert was a part of a close knit family that includes many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Amy Yates, and his brothers, Glyn, Buddy and Allen Yates. Robert and Doris resided in Pasadena from 1960 to 1986 and then moved to enjoy their property in Conroe. have been active members of the congregation of First Christian Church of Conroe for over ten years. Robert was a man of many interests and businesses. He owned and operated Queen Oaks Cleaners, Yates Motor , and Yates Trucking . He also invested in commercial real estate and was a partner in Y & Y Properties. He believed in giving those with ambition a helping hand and did so quite often. Robert had a strong entrepreneur spirit that he shared with others. He loved to hunt, fish and most of all spend time with his family. He was a strong man with a big heart and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. services for Robert will be held on , 8, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Wes Morgan and Phillip Yates officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park . Visitation is scheduled for , 7, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cashner . Roberts grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Obituary: Richard Julian Yates was born on 21 1924 in Pasadena, California the fourth child of William Franklin and Beulah Mackey Yates. He was a graduate of W. H. Adamson High School in Dallas and the University of Oklahoma. Richard majored in geology. Upon graduation from OU he worked as a petroleum geologist for 10 years. Between high school and college he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for 3 ½ years. A salesman most of his working life, he retired from American Airlines in 1988, as a reservationist. In 1974 he married Love Pearl Parker Rollins in the Manti Utah Temple. Richard is survived by seven children: Becki Didriksen, Betty South, Carrie Nicholas, Bari Murdock, Gayle Rollins, Joel Rollins, and Connie Rollins Mendoza. He has eleven grandchildren: Amy Austin, Alisen Wells, Abby Saunders, Chase South, Ryan South, Kellie Nicholas, Hannah Nicholas, Murdock, Lane Murdock, Ian Murdock, Alex Murdock, Ava Rollins, and Charlie Rollins. He also had seven great grand children. Richard was preceded in death by his parents William Franklin Yates, Beulah Yates, and his siblings Betty Yates, William Franklin Yates, Jr., and Mackey Rucker Yates. Being with family and friends brought Richard his greatest joys. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints he served in many capacities and enjoyed the challenges and satisfaction wherever he served. He was happiest when serving others. |
