Obituary: Joanne A. Young, 83, of Fremont, died , 11, 2015 at Valley View . She was born 4, 1931 in Fremont the daughter of Howard and Matilda "Dedow" (Gabel) Hawk. May 10, 1952 she married Werner "Bud" Young, Jr., who preceded her in death on 31, 1995. Joanne helped many veterans before retiring from the Sandusky Veterans Office. She also worked locally for Richard's Town and Country, Culligan Water and the Sandusky Department. Joanne volunteered much of her time at Valley View , the election board, NAMI, the Migrant Ministry, and numerous hours as a teachers' aid for her daughters in their classrooms. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and assisted with communion distribution for shut-ins, funeral luncheons and other various volunteer activities. In her later years, she enjoyed reading and crocheting. One of her favorite activities was playing cards, both bridge and pinochle, with close friends and high school girlfriends. Surviving are her children, Lynda (Bill) Hotz of Fremont, OH, LouAnne Young-Barrett of Hilton Head, SC, Larry Young of Fremont, OH, Rob Young of Clyde, OH; grandchildren, Kate, Carl, Christie, Tiffany, Danielle, and Ryan; great-grandchildren: Ivan and Eloise; and a sister Martha Unger of Houston, TX; and numerous loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son Jeffrey Carl Young; parents; siblings, Frank Hawk, Jim Hawk, Don Hawk and Mary Alice DiCeasare. Visitation will take place , 14, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8P.M. at Keller-Koch-Chudzinski , 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH, where Vigil Services will begin at 7:30P.M. A Mass of Resurrection will take place at 10:30A.M. on at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph . Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, NAMI or Old Fort School - Elementary Library, for books. |

Obituary: YOUNG, Jerry Lynn, age 72, of Westerville, passed away on , 14, 2014. Jerry was born on 20, 1941 in Perry , KY to the late William and Mallie Young. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the Combined District after 32 years. Jerry loved to boat and fish and will be remembered for his clever sense of humor and welcoming personality. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Wanda; their children, Jason (Gina) Young and Stephanie (Jessica Lane) Young; and 2 grandchildren, Kai and Holt Young. The family would like to thank the staff of Ohio Hospice, the Kobacker House, and special family friend Anne for all their care and dedication. Family will greet friends from 11:00am-1:00pm on , 17, 2014 at Routsong , 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering with a funeral service at 1:00pm. Burial will be at Davids .
