Obituary: John A. Young, 69, passed away on , 28, 2015. He was born in Creole on 5, 1946, to Wilton and Annie Primeaux Young. John was a lifelong resident of Grandlake. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sweetlake. John was a heavy duty truck mechanic. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam. John enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, raising rabbits and barbequing with his family. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Gaspard Young; daughters, Kristy Manuel and husband, Shane, Cindy Silfee and husband, Troy and Jonette Benoit and husband, Kevin all of Grand Lake; brother, Buck Young; sisters, Shirley Nunez and Cathy Trahan; grandchildren, Andrew, Mark, Taylor, Travis, Devon, Alissa, Jayleigh and Tanner; niece, Cari; great niece, Megan; and family friend, Victoria. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lindsey Benoit; parents and two brothers. Visitation will be on , 29, 2015 from 11am-9pm with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30pm at Hixson of Lake Charles. Visitation will resume at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sweetlake on from 9am until service time at 12 noon. Burial will be in Sweetlake/Grandlake .
