Obituary: Laura Lynn Young, 42, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on 05, 2015. Laura was a United States Army Veteran, having served active duty and in the reserves. attending US Army Officer Candidate School, Laura was promoted to Second Lieutenant in 2001. Laura earned her Masters Degree in Education from Arizona State University in 2006. She was voted Westside Impact Teacher of the Year at Western Peaks Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Glenn Hoard. She is survived by her mother, Cheryl (Robert) Cobb; her daughters, Ashley (Matt) Schnitker, and Abbey Sobelman; her son, Austin Percic; and her husband, William E. Young, Jr; her sister, Carrie Phillips; her niece Faith Phillips, and two "kitties" "Jomax", and "Rocky". are entrusted to Surprise . A Memorial Service will be held on , 15, 2015, at 10:00 AM, at Surprise , 16063 W. Bell Road, Surprise, Arizona, 85374. 623.546.8002.
