Obituary: Doris Turk Young Proverbs 31:10 “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.” Our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece and best of friend left us to inherit her heavenly reward in the early morning hours of 7, 2010 – far before we were ready to lose her. Doris Turk Young was born May 6, 1936 in Americus, Georgia to Grover Meeks Turk and Thelma Peacock Turk and grew up a farm in Pineview, GA where she was the oldest of eight children. her marriage, Doris moved to Florida and spent the last 56 years of her life in Winter Garden, Florida. She was a devoted member of the Baptist Purity Church. Over the years, Doris’ life was a quiet, humble example of how to live a Godly life. She was known and loved by countless people, including her alterations customers who came from as far away as Winter Haven and Deland to bring mother small sewing jobs-not because they could not find a seamstress locally, but because she always had an open ear and a caring heart. Customers would sit on the couch and spend an hour or more just telling her about their lives. Mother always had the sweetest smile and words of encouragement for them, as well as anyone she met. In our discussions about mother, one unanimous observation was that we never heard her say a bad word about anyone. Even during the last eleven months of mother’s life as she faced cancer and the awful treatments without one word of complaint, her concerns were for others: her children, grandchildren, family and friends. We will miss her more than words can say. She is survived by six children who will love her forever: David, Gary (Debbie), and Randy (Dolores) Young, Deborah Johnson (Mike), Sherry Sabat (John) and Dahlia Rochell (Tony). She was predeceased by a son ,Barney Faron, who died as a child. She was the beloved Mema to seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren: Faron Young, Jonathan Young, Gary Young, Christy Kilpatrick (James), Barry Young, Ashley Reichwein (Eric), Jessica Drexler (Mike) Zachary Sabat (Ashley) Brandy Young, Kyle Johnson, Caleb Sabat, Alexandra Rochell, Timothy Sabat, Shayna Rochell, Star Lynn Rochell, Garrett Rochell and Ladd Rochell; Kyleigh Young, Kasey Young, Noah Drexler, Layla Young, Micah Drexler, and Aubrey Sabat. “Her children arise up, and called her blessed.” Proverbs 31:28. She is also survived by brothers Grover Turk, Jr. (Gladys), Walter Turk (Ann), Rubin Turk, (Dianne), and Johnny Turk (Elaine), two sisters Martha Lackey (Jimmy) and Louise Bruce (Bill), and sister-in-law Jeanie Turk, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews, and greatly beloved Aunt Jewel Turk. Obituary: Dora Francis (Ashwell) Young passed away peacefully on 9, 2015 at the age of 90. Her fierce spirit and sense of humor lives on in her surviving daughters, Darlene, Terri, Kim and Vickie, as well as her loving son-in-laws, Bill, Erik, and Jim. She was Nana to Paul, Jennifer, Tammy, Tony, Thea, and Annika. Her great-grandchildren Lauren, Braydon, Joelle, Cooper and Parker will always remember her laugh.
