Obituary: Lucille passed away peacefully in her 94th year. She was a sweet, kind, and beloved lady; compassionate toward people, animals, birds, and the environment. She worked in medical research and education, and volunteered in community service. Lucille loved traveling, restaurants and food, hiking, and nonfiction reading. She was a University of Washington alumnus, a member of the University Presbyterian Church, Bravo group of the Seattle Opera, Les Amis d'Vin, Seattle Enological Society, Rhododrendron Society, and Bridal Trails Community Club. James (husband) and Lucille met at a Valentine's Day dance in 1952 while "Some Enchanted Evening" was being played. wed in of that year, and were married for 62 years. She leaves behind her devoted husband James and loving daughter Deborah, sister Patience Sharp, and extended family and friends. She was preceded by daughter Sharon. The family wishes to express gratitude and appreciation for the compassionate care given to Lucille in her final years by Kandi Kaufman and Sherry Glatt. A service will be held on Wed. Dec. 3rd at 12:30 p.m. at Acacia (14951 Bothell Way NE), preceded by a viewing for those who wish at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to The Nature Conservatory or P.A.W.S. (Progressive Animal Welfare Society) of Lynnwood, WA. Lucille, we love you and we wish you well on your journey. You will be in our thoughts and in our hearts...forever. |

Obituary: Louise Evelyn Wright, 81, of Burien, WA, passed away peacefully on 7, 2014. Louise had a long and courageous fight with dementia. She will be dearly missed by her devoted husband of 52 years. Louise was born in Kellogg, ID to Roy and Delia Burkhart on 5, 1932. She went to high school at Kellogg High School and graduated in 1950. She married the love of her life Al Wright on 2, 1961. moved their family to the Seattle area in the late 1960s. Louise worked at the downtown Seattle Post Office for 10 years, where she met many dear friends who shared her unforgettable gift of gab. In 1982 she decided to stay home to spend more time with her family and pursue her true passion for arts and crafts. She never met a stranger and loved to share her adorable hand-made treasures with all who admired them. She enjoyed playing dice and card games and occasional trips to the casino. She loved music, especially the great oldies back when it was called, country and western. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Delia; brother, LeRoy Burkhart; sister, Martha Henderson; and her son, Steve Huston. Louise is survived by her loving husband Al; three sons, Michael Huston; David Huston; and Roger Wright; two daughters, Mary Huston; and Susan( Craig) Fisher; eight grandchildren; grandson, Steve Guardipee; Adam Guardipee; Jaryd Wright; Erik Wright; Dylan Fisher; three granddaughters, Ashley Wright; Courtney Fisher; and Shelby Fisher; two great-grandsons, Zakari Lovelace; Julian Johnson; brother, David( Nancy) Burkhart of Chatham , IL. |
