Obituary: Roberta Alma Brown Williams departed this life on 22, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Jerry and Virgie Winston Kyle Brown. Seven sisters and one brother preceded her in death. She is survived by two sisters; Mrs. Ophelia Trimiar of Ivy, VA and Mrs. Ellen Jones of Lynchburg, VA. She was a loving mother, wife and friend to all she met. She was the wife of the late Nathaniel Williams. Both parents lived by example and not just giving orders. She was the youngest of ten children and having six of her own and they are: Darryl T. Williams, Alma Roberta Burruss, Terry L. Williams and Valerie A. Yarney of Charlottesville, VA, Iris A. Williams of South Carolina and Johnathan Williams of Albemarle ; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends she loved and cared for. She joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Ivy, VA at an early age and later became a member of the Zion Baptist Church, North Garden, VA and attended Covesville First Baptist Church, Covesville, VA with her husband. She lived a Christian life and taught her children the same. She lived her life the same in public as she did in private. She lived so God could use her and as a benefactor to others. Mother, we will miss your love and caring and all that you and Daddy lived for. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. , 31, 2016 at the Teague . |
