Obituary: Mary Joann Davis Rainier Williams, 79, of Mathews passed away on , 9, 2016. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. She loved her high school years where she was coming and May Queen and a cheerleader. She worked as a waitress at Suttons Restaurant for many years and was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her mother and step-father Mary and Stanley Oliver; her father and step-mother Howard and Margaret Davis and her special nephew Richard Pritchett. Joann is survived by her children, Linda Odham, Robert Rainier, Jr., Lawrence Rainier and Cindy Smith (Lee); six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, sister Barbara Vaughan (Ronnie), brother Bobby Davis (Barbara) as well as many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family received friends at Foster-Faulkner , Mathews on , Dec. 11th. A Service was held on , Dec. 12th at Emmanuel UMC. Obituary: Mary Edna Donovan Williams passed away on 28, 2015 in her hometown of Virginia Beach. She was 92. Mrs. Williams was born on 7, 1922 in Butler, PA to her parents, David Donovan and Mabel Pearl Donovan. She married Brinnie R. Bill Williams in 1943. She was a loving housewife and mother of four children. Mary is survived by her daughter and son- in-law, and Richard Horn, her daughter, Patricia Taylor; her son, Wiley Williams; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her daughter, Linda Woolard; and great grandchild, Sarah Zalusky. Mrs. Williams was a devoted member of Kempsville Church of Christ for over 50 years. In addition, Mary supported her country during WWII by serving as a welder in a local shipyard and was also a school bus driver in Virginia Beach. Obituary: MARY MAYBELLE WILLIAMS "Mae" 25, 1930 - 15, 2015 Born to Robert Gordon Clark Rae and Elizabeth (Ferris) Rae who came to the U.S. from Scotland in 1918. She was a dedicated Navy Captain's wife of 63 years to Charles Dean "Chuck" Williams. Mae and Chuck began their life together in the historic St. Peter's Wedding Chapel, Mare Island California. She faithfully moved her family and household around the world wherever the Navy sent them. The family finally settled in Virginia where she has been a long time resident of the Fort Hunt area and member of the Hollin Hall Senior where she played her favorite game, Mahjong. Mae was blessed with dear friends throughout her life. She was a loving mother to her four children, Elizabeth, Carl, Catherine and Deborah and their spouses, Mike, Karen, Todd and Terry. Her family had many adventures sailing around the Chesapeake Bay together. Her nine grandchildren, Rebecca, Alan, Jayne, Michelle, Rachel, Sean, Charles, Amanda and Christopher, will be sure to share all their wonderful "Nana" stories with her great grandchildren, Payton and Hailey. The visitation will be held at Demaine , 520 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 on 24 from 12 to 2 p.m. Services to be held at Fort Meyer Old Post Chapel at a later date followed by interment at Arlington National . |
